Anyone interested: when CO2 emissions increase 0.5% while the GDP increases 1%, we say the elasticity of CO2 with respect to GDP is 0.5/1=0.5. If the elasticity of *coffee demand* with respect to price is, say, -1.5, it means that the demand for coffee will decrease 1.5% whenever the price increases 1%. Being real, if you study a bit each day and don't procrastinate too long, most college courses aren't that bad. Also, just do what you are actually passionate about, or you are going to hate college. You can always pivot with a masters if need be or do internships in other areas if you want. Also, lol, I do remember that element of group projects. It is the same way with jobs, too. There is always someone not trying to help out as much as they can or trying to hold you back to some degree. If the right people got your back, though, you will get more money or opportunities to get more money.

I'll be honest, this video opened my eyes to alot. We almost always think the grass is greener on the other side, and I pride myself in being someone who "gets it" however, I ashamed to admit that I used to think my life was super hard when i was in college and everything would be better once I started working. I've always had cool jobs, but when I started making alot of money I understood what real stress is. It doesn't compare to just hard jobs, it was the kind of job you took home so I was always working, and now in comparison to just reading 5 pages of something you already wrote down and could learn even without your dumbass professor, I really shouldn't have stressed out so much. I wont say being an adult is hard because I believe that every age has its equal share of difficulties however, having to deal with bills, or being unemployed, or kids, all things that are directly influenced by a third party, and doing things like studying and stuff, all things that really depend on your motivation and discipline, of course now it would be nice to be in that kind of situation

I know I'm getting old when I actually agree with the professor. Worry about yourself, and learn to overcome obstacles without whining and trying to blame others. Nobody likes the complainer, whether you are correct or not.

That’s not the point. A useless member of a team would be fired from a real job. In this regard, the lazy student should be “fired” from the group. Professors are just too lazy to alter groups or deliver punishments.

That's all good and well if that AWOL student doesn't drag down the grade of the project when they turn up at the end.

My college experience was doing fuck-all, showing up early to the tests just to overhear what subjects everybody was stressing out about, taking mental notes of how the top students made last minute explanations to a couple of disturbed students, hail marrying the tests and walking out with Bs' and As', which would then tick-off some of my fellow classmates who couldn't fathom how I did it when I was always just in the back of the class playing stuff like Civilizations 5. However, Group projects were a different story entirely. I didn't want to be responsible for someone's failing due to my laziness and I generally did actually like the projects so I always ended up leading the efforts, taking on daring challenges requiring innovative strategies. Always had the top scoring project of the class.

As a student who works in retail part time, I lost count the amount of times I screamed out “OH SHIT” in the middle of the store when I realized I had something that was going to be due 10 minutes after my shift.

I'm an architecture student (that profession was my goal since elementary school), have two jobs (apprentice at an office job during weeks and barista on weekends). I'm not a genius in architecture, maybe it's not even my thing after all. I have no time for socialising. The only times I socialise with people my age when there are events related to school or work.

Dear American friends, I know that modern life is difficult, and it's funny to laugh at life's obstacles, but believe me, everything, absolutely everything is better than if you were born in a damn third world country, where I come from and I will have to die. I would so much like to have been born in the United States, no matter what state or region.

That ending was both tragic, realistic and hilarious. And then back to just sad.
