DESCRIPTION
Welcome to the SCULPT SERIES. These workouts are designed to lengthen and strengthen the muscle all at the same time so you will create a longer, leaner physique. By the addition of weights to your traditional Pilates barre routines you will increase the challenge of all your favourite exercises! That's the beauty of these workouts, you never have to outgrow them, just think of innovative ways to make them a challenge for you!
Work your glutes and outer thighs to sculpted perfection using a dumbbell for extra challenge. You will perform all your favourite Pilates barre fusion mat exercises to work your butt and thighs from every angle. Adding the weight really ups the challenge, if you can't keep up just drop the weight for a few reps or even increase the intensity more by adding a heavier weight.
Fitness level: Intermediate/advanced
Equipment: mat and dumbbell (I use 2.5kg/5lb)

I don't know what kind of superhuman powers you possess, but no matter how in-shape and strong I feel, I can hardly ever do what you do. Here, I had to drop my 7-lb. weight halfway through and complete the rest of the workout without it because my legs were DEAD. I will try it next time with my 3-lb. ankle weights. I need a protein shake now. LOL Thank you for another really challenging workout!

Your workout methods are really effective. It looked easy but it is hard and most effective for me. I'm taking turns of the upper body and the lower body every day and my whole body is constantly hurting in a good way. I’ve been on a vacation for three weeks. But I don't want to be unfit and feel bad when I go home, so just brought a yoga matt with me. I don’t have my dumbbells but I'm using a big water bottle instead. My inner thighs have never hurt like this before and I can see that my inner thighs are started to have a bit of shape :) I appreciate the way you encourage us by explaining why it's good to do this and try to support mentally during the exercise. Thanks again for your excellent videos.

I always work out when I'm away from home. It puts you in such a more positive head space so you can enjoy your holiday. I adore this workout just as turned up as the 40 minute stability ball workout if not just a wee bit harder...When I first did It could not even do 5 reps but since I have been doing your leg workouts consistently I realized that there are some which I am familiar with but the variation is that you have added weights. I was able to go up to the count with most of them, others I have had to take a slight break but for the most part I felt satisfied that I did the workout... I think what made it easier too was that I warmed up with a little stretching and light cardio that really helps the muscles to get warmer and feel less tight...I think I will definitely alternate between this and the stability ball and bums and tums...

Warming up definitely helps and stretching at the end also helps with recovery. The great thing is that you can adapt these workouts to suit where you are at. If some of the exercises are a bit too hard with the weight you can drop it or use a lighter one. You could also do this workout with ankle weights or even a resistance loop instead :)

I was just going to comment that inner and outer thighs are my two favorite parts of the legs to work (i.e. my problematic areas)! This was such a great workout to target those areas. I can't wait to feel that oh-so-wonderful burn from doing this when I wake up tomorrow.:) I'll definitely be revisiting this one often.

This is again an awesome legs workout without any stress on the joints. Today was my first day. I couldn't do all the reps although I was doing it without the dumbbell. My calves were getting cramps so stopped half way. But I'll definitely be doing it again. Thanks for sharing such doable ways to strengthen our body.

this is definitely a tough workout so even without the weight it is super effective! If your calves are cramping you can try flexing your feet or keeping them neutral instead of pointing 😀

Another burner ! Love! Any advice for flexibility challenges? Can’t get my legs straight for the frog move on my back. Working on my hamstrings but not there yet !

Flexibility is a very individual thing. You can definitely keep improving from where you are at, but not everyone will achieve perfect flexibility. If you incorporate deep stretches at least 3 times a week you should see some improvement. I have a resistance stretching series which focuses on stretching as well as sculpting. Also my warm and stretch series might be a good one to try too 😊

I adore this workout the first time I did it I couldn't get past the second rep...But now I have moved up to 10lbs now take note I didn't even think I mastered it with the 5lbs but I wanted to push it to see whether I could take it to failure then revert back to the 5 lbs when I couldn't do any more...I was pleasantly surprised I could do most of the workout with the 10s... By the way when I visited my brutally honest Mom she said that I have trimmed down nicely and what workout I have been using... Dad was also curious since he had only just done a knee surgery Thursday... he liked the fact that I have given the hills a break because he doesn't want me to meet a similar fate since my ankles are swollen and I have knee issues too... So anyway thanks for sharing workouts which do not require pressure on my joints when my legs pain me too much I do the floor workouts sometimes adding weights

Oooooowwww......Omg I knew my outer glutes have been neglected these past few months but this totally (and literally?) kicked my butt - which is what I expect from a workout. I had just tried a yoga video to target the glutes and it was a complete waste of time...Barre all the way for me! The other barre videos I've been using are good overall workouts but seem to neglect the gluteus medius. How about a 1-hour video that works these but includes upper body and ab work as well?

Yes, that area is definitely very neglected. I purposely isolate body parts so that you can mix and match my workouts to create your perfect routine. Add on one of my upper body workouts and abs workouts for a full 1 hour session. There are many to choose from, just check out my playlists. Did this workout today and my legs were shaking by the end. I tend to ignore inner thigh work always and I could feel how weak my inner thighs are. I did all inner thigh part without weights and much less reps and still found it very difficult. I am going to be using more of your inner thighs workouts now.

Yes, inner thighs are often underused and tend to be weak. i have lots of videos without weights to help you strengthen them too 😁

I love this workout. Worked my lower body like no other! However I know I may be annoying but wished this one has subtitles so I can know what u are saying. I can follow you no problem but would be nice to know what u saying. Also for bums and tums to have subtitles too.

I don't know why some have subtitles and others don't. KZbin puts them on there, it wasn't me. Although some of the subtitles on my videos are often very bad and don't fully say what I am saying. I am not sure how the ones on Amazon are. The newer ones on Amazon I have been doing myself so they are perfect.

Love this... Will adding weights bulk my legs? I want to make my legs thinner, so I am afraid to add the weight.
