www.buymeacoffee.com/Barlates Welcome to the Metabolic Training Series. These 4 workouts are designed to rev up your metabolism, burn calories and build strength in your entire body. Each workout includes targeted strength training exercises and also has a high cardio factor. There's heaps of variety in the exercises as well as across the 4 workouts. You won't be bored!
In Metabolic Training Functional you will heat up the body with some squat, lunge and kick combinations, then move to a fun cardio set with some old school moves, grab some medium weights for a tough lower body segment, hand stand variations and down dogs, more lower body weighted exercises and finally glute bridge and abs on the mat. You will finish with a lengthening stretch.
Equipment needed: chair and medium weights (2kg/5lb)
Length: 55 mins
Fitness Level: Intermediate Advanced to Advanced (modifications available)

haha, my combination moves can be a bit confusing at times, but if you keep doing my workouts you will start to get used to them more and more 😅

There is a movement that is fun but very hard! Is that sequence that looks like we are riding a horse and swinging the lasso like a cowboy! ahah... and yes I am glad that no one is watching me! Great functional cardio training! I like it!!! Thank you 😀😉🤠 👍

I really enjoyed that one legged bridge under ( Not sure what you call it but I never seen it before and it was fun!) You always have moves I never tried or would of thought before!

This was an awesome workout! I really enjoy your unique style and how your workouts are so much more challenging than you make them seem! I also appreciate the variety you offer. Please don’t stop sharing this quality content. Nobody offers your variety. I’m particularly a fan of your rebounder workouts, though I love all I’ve done so far. I’ve searched KZbin for rebounder workouts and they tend to be a bit easier than I’d prefer. not yours!!!! Yours are awesome and very challenging, which I love.

This was an intense cardio blast yesterday! I forgot how challenging this one was. I was a sweaty mess by the end 😅 but I’m definitely stronger than I was a month ago! Thank you, Linda! 💖💪🏽🔥

Love it! Didn’t think I’d get the handstand but near the end I almost got it. Maybe next time... I will do again! Challenging and sweaty great job! Just what I was looking for this morning.

Today is my little anniversay! It's been exactly 1 month since I started working out with you and this one was perfect to celebrate it😊😊😊! Love those functional moves so much ❤️❤️❤️! Thank you so much! P.S. My dog fell in love with this workout 🤩🤩🤩. He's normally just lying on the sofa and watching me when I'm working out and today he got so excited about all those squats and kicks that started running and jumping around me 🤩.

Done! It's my second time with this workout. The first one was 5 😮😮 months ago! Still remember how hard it was for me 😁. This time it was still pretty tough and intense but didn't seem like something pretty much close to impossible 😇. Thank you, Linda 🤗🤗!

It's totally fine to modify the handstands, they are not for everyone 😊

So you suggested me your Metabolic work out with chairs in one of our previous comments chats, and here I am. I admit that I didn't do heavy Cardio part (I just don't do Cardio in general) and replaced it with squats; but I absolutely loved functional/strength part. All these marvelous combinations and delicious chair section really left me all sweaty and my muscles sore. What's also great, is that it keeps your mind engaged, I mean you don't get bored. I think I will try your other Metabolic/Sculpt workouts next time!)

This wasn’t my favorite but I appreciate the differentness of it and the challenge to move my body in ways I’m not used to. Still got a fantastic sweat and I feel worked mentally and physically. So thank you for getting me outside my comfort zone👍🏼

Would I be crazy to try use my stability ball and bosu instead of the chair?

Bosu would definitely work and in fact would be lower so a bit easier. Stability ball would work too if you pushed it against a wall or sofa to stabilize or use it freestanding if you want a super core challenge 💪

OMG! My smartwatch says that I burnt 600 kcal! It's not true! I burnt over 1000 kcal with this workout!
