It was just so enjoyable and calming. We all need that so much. Pickleball? Thats a new one...

No dislikes ( till now ) I think all people aggree on the part that PMO is the most dangerous addiction ( since its easily accecable and release almost the same dopamine as drugs ). Anyways. Im now 20+ years old. My father told me how life was back in his days. They were always happy in the morning to have breakfast. He would feel like he conquered the whole world, When he would find a cassette of his favourite singer. He would enjoy each and every single time spent with familly and friends. I believe technology ( in generall ) has turned us all into zombies ( Im not against it if technology is used for education or other good things ). We wake up sluggish, we eat breakfast cuz we have to but not actually enjoy it. We buy a game, we are still not happy. We receive gifts from our family, yet we still dont show much we are happy compared to our parents. Things aint going the right way. No wonder why people are so depressed these days. ( btw I accidentally reposted this cuz I posted this text below the wrong video )

I know that this may sound stereotypical, I’m not a doctor, don’t have a background in neuroscience, anything, just speaking from experience. Something I’ve noticed is that sometimes deep breathing can help me deal with impulses or thoughts that I don’t want to think. I try to breathe deeply and focus on the breath, and eventually I feel relaxed and it feels like reaching a different state of being where the impulses aren’t there anymore. Sometimes when it’s just impossible for me to just breathe, I’ll do something like grabbing a sketchbook and trying to draw a picture from Google of a plant or something. Something about that activity seems to put me in a focused state of mind after a while and then I’m more capable of simply breathing and being still, and able to just rest in silence and breath. I think sometimes doing something tactile with the hands can help, like picking up a guitar or for some it may be whittling or maybe even playing with clay or something. But I’ve noticed the same effect when I’m studying, it seems like getting focused on something (sometimes even reading a book or something like that) helps to kind of break the impulse and help me get into a state of mind that feels free of impulse. Also, I don’t know if you’re religious or not but I’m also religious and so praying has helped and I think prayer has played a part in helping me notice these things. So yeah, like I said, not a neuroscientist or anything, just sharing some things from my own experience that could be helpful!

@DrTrishLeigh3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know the difference in the level of stimulation specifically between visual and auditory porn. What I do know, is how the brain is impacted by visual and auditory stimulation and a combination of the both. In that regard when there is also visual stimulation the brain is a little bit more activated. So I would imagine auditory porn is less stimulating than visual. But… It goes back to using auditory erotic stimulation to alter mood. Probably not healthy either way.
