If you want to build a stronger, more chiseled chest, I’ve got a great workout you can follow at the gym… and you don’t need to use a bunch of different machines and barbells to do it.
The secret is finding exercises that you are able to really focus on working your chest. Your arms are just there to help with the movement. You do not want your arms and shoulders to be engaged and worked in your chest exercises.
These exercises are going to be safe for your joints.

I am currently one of the 90 participants Gary referenced in his program and I have shoulder issues like many of the others. I apply many of the techniques Gary talks about in this video (e.g., using the proper arm angles for the bench press; tricon sets with lower weights; slow counts on eccentrics) and these have been extremely effective in building the chest while minimizing impact on my shoulder. Thanks for publishing this video as a reminder of the importance of using proper techniques!

Thanks so much Gary , I've been doing all of these excercise's with the exception of the kneeling low to high for the upper chest, when done correctly I believe I'll see a great difference. Thanks once again.

Great vid and nice explanation as usual Gary. My personal experience with the upper chest is setting the cable at about elbow height and doing a single arm cross body cable press - I really feel an amazing contraction in the top portion of my chest. But like all this stuff - we have to find out what works and connects for us individually.

I love these exercises! I have been a Live Anabolic member for over three years, and at 62, I have enjoyed being in my best fitness since my 20s. The challenge with the gym equipment is that if I don’t get to hit the gym before 3:30 PM, it gets flooded with kids taking over the machines! 🙄

I love your videos but I don’t have a cable machine I have dumbells and a multi gym machine so I improvise thank you I am 56 years old God Bless

Seems elastic bands may be a good alternative to cable machine.

That’s what I was thinking. I like to workout at home and don’t have a cable machine, but I’m going to do these with bands.

I use elastic bands at home but having trouble building the lower chest. Have tried the high to low press without much luck.

Another way to address those muscles is doing incline pushups.

I had to lay off for weeks due to shoulder tendon? problems because of chest exercises. I think I injured them using straps.

It's crucial that you explain the exercise order, if it's actually important. Also, the weight ratios to use; e. g. a weight for which you can only manage 6 reps. Look forward to your feedback😊
