I was brought up in a notorious mining village in Dunfermline. I'm the grandson of a miner. The men there didn't mess about. Heavy smoking, drinking, domestic abuse, you name it - hard times. If someone was stupid enough to get drunk and go looking for a fight, someone would put them on their arse. That's how I grew up. I have a squint nose to prove it. But, I am not like them. I have self control and am thankful I can mentally restrain myself when some drunk starts blabbering, because the one thing nobody talks about re square goes is the inevitable police involvement after, especially if someone is hurt badly.

The old square go meant up the alley and once one of you was put on your backside, there was no stamping on their face. You picked them up, it was finished, forgotten about and you wen't for a quiet pint like two gentlemen. Sadly those day's are long gone of positive masculinity, long long gone. Same here I was part of the hooligan environment when it was younger training alot too while working part times jobs, i grew up in a Orphanage and was released when I turned 18 the violence was had a strong presence in me and the hooligan environment fitted me well at that time, today all of that' I have layed behind me, and violence is the last resort for me, only if I'm being cornered or attacked. But with that said I'm often encounter very very cheeky and provoking lads in the gym not particularly against me but it's their whole demeanor and they are typically 10 15 years younger than me I'm 34 and I can easily tell that these guys have never known violence nor seen it and their behavioral is also their of. When having a encounter with a cheeky lad I'm just laughed but at the same time I can feel the Beast lurking just under my skin but I can never allow that to come thru me anymore But there is a lack of respect in society that have reached new levels and social media is to blame for that the amount of Young obnoxious narcissist walking around in all kind of public places has never been more present than today, I miss the more simple and real life we used to have before social media ruined it all people was a lot more geniune back then, the capacity to social interact with real people than are unbeknownst I's almost non insistence today in the newer generations
