This is my 89 year old Aunt and I am very proud of her - she broke her hip not that long ago and her dedication to Longevity Stick Exercise helped her recovery for sure. She volunteers her time 4 days/week teaching these classes all year-long. Great work Auntie!

I gave away my original video but kept doing some of the exercises from memory. This was about 2 yrs ago. I have Parkinsons now since 2005 and these exercises are worth their weight in gold. So glad to see a KZbin presentation. Thank you !!

Always inspiring to see a senior moving with flexibility purpose and strength. I became interested in internal practices like this in my 30s when I observed elderly people in New York City’s Chinatown parks doing tai chi and other movement exercises like the ones here demonstrated. During it. I thought seniors do remarkable thingsWith their bodies that I knew required strength and flexibility. I was intrigued and humble myself to learn as much as I could. Now that I’m 60 years old myself I’m thankful that I had the good sense to practice and learn these arts they are truly amazing for your body

So glad to see this video which uses all 12 steps! I can repeat this at home. Such a class as this costs over $50 with all the registration and parking fees at the OSHER Life Long Learning Institute at CSULB. A different program I was considering was with the free Arthritis foundation exercise at the senior center. But the Longevity Stick will help my back the most. Thank you for putting this on KZbin! I needed this!

It is my understanding that the creator of these exercises stipulated that there should never be a fee for Longevity Stick classes.

Often the way, once something becomes popular the money grabbers move in 😟 I so appreciate my Shifu €40 a month for 2 lessons each day (2 to 3 hours each lesson !) Others charge €40 or €50 per hour !! A good teacher doesn't do it for money ☯️🙏

So great you got to learn something for free that cost you in the real world so much money. Tai chi classes in my neck of the woods and West Hempstead cost 30 bucks

She is now 100. I do this twice a week at my senior center and twice a week at home along with resistance band work outs. At 77 I'm cycling well. 😊

This is fabulous. I'm going to start teaching again in Long Beach. Used to teach at Cal State Long Beach Senior University. Don't let the senior fool you, this is great for all ages, we all need to work on balance and flexibility. Nice way to clear your mind after a day of work.

Hi Maggie, I'm leading Longevity Stick Art at OLLI, Osher Lifelong Institute currently on Tuesday mornings. Shona Howe led that class for the last eight or nine years. Come and join us sometime. I'm also leading a class Mondays and Fridays at El Dorado Senior Center on Studebaker next to the El Dorado library. You'd be very welcome there, too. I hear Long Beach Recreation is looking for someone to lead a group at Recreation Park across from Wilson High. Would you be interested?

Great everyday exercise. In Chula Vista we do twice at Norman Park Senior Center (Tue/Thu) from 9-10 and at J Street Marina from 8-9 on Saturday. It is so nice to see it done by the group. Yes There is a video by Master Dau available at the L.S. official site as well as shirts with the logo. Thank you .Great work

Mary Hori has produced the best video on KZbin. It follows the exact movements as designed by Master Mai Bac Dau. I highly recommend this video of many of the others on KZbin. But you can purchase the official video from longevitystick.com via a Google search and see a demo video of the 12 exercises with Master Dau. (Then click on each movement to see “stop-motion tutorials”.) The demo video was taken from an original DVD with Master Dau showing the exercises and also includes self-massage techniques and can be purchased thru this 2nd website. And LSA clothes - T shirts and hats etc. can be bought through this website
