I wanted to say and ask something about the pose at around the 2:40 mark... My worry is with beginners I've always heard that when you're stretching you're supposed to try not to bounce. (With my quads, [I'm hoping I'm remembering the muscle name correctly], they tends to be tight even though I've been stretching them every few days so getting into that position it feels like it takes a minute for my quads to relax. And with the hovering the knee over the ground every few seconds, I've just always heard that it's better to try to not bounce when you're stretching and for us less experienced people those quads are going to be really tight. Sorry about my long-winded comment, I hope I explained myself well enough LOL

I also appreciate what you said around the 4:05 mark when we switched sides. I noticed I don't quite have the leg strength, and for the pose that follows if I bounce too much then I exhaust those muscles already. But I was able to hold it good/well enough.

Thank you for the input. This isn't about bouncing, since you're being active. When you hover the knee slightly you're making sure the hips are active. That's all. You can doing it slower if that makes you more comfortable.

@@ManFlowYoga that makes sense, thanks. It did help to try it a little bit (after I breathed and waited for the muscle to stretch and relax first) and yes I think you are right I need to keep in mind to do it slower than it looks like you were doing in the video

@@ManFlowYoga Thanks for your reply. 🖤💜💙💚🌈🌈🙋♂️ I'm happy to report that I've been on a regular exercise routine for several weeks now that's been working for me. But I think I'm ready to make man Flow yoga a better habit. Although my other exercise program is working well in the sense that it's kept me the most consistent I've ever been, I think your yoga sessions are a little more effective in some ways so I think I'll try to keep up doing both and I wanted to reiterate something I tried to say earlier but I can't find the comment: um Sorry if this comment is long, I understand if you don't have time to read it all In almost every pose in this video we are moving the body in One direction, opening it up. In my aunt's yoga sessions whenever we do so many opening poses we always make sure to do the reverse side, closing poses: balancing cat with cow, and including child's pose and . I know including more poses would make this video longer and you're shooting for a certain time frame to keep people's interest and stuff and keep it short and simple It just feels important to me with yoga practice to do the reverse side, just as you always repeat the same pose on the left and right side keeping in mind balancing the front to back relationship, opening and closing the chest seems important to me. As a novice practicer of yoga for many years, just my two cents of input I noticed at the end of the video you said you had some other morning routines that we're more relaxing and a bit longer and stuff. Or I guess in child's pose is your chest supposed to be open or closed? I feel like I need to round out my back, so there's some other positions but I can't remember the name of that I can try Happy baby pose? Or... Can't remember

MFY is traditionally inspired, physical fitness based yoga. The closest thing you'll find to that pose in our channel is a forward fold, which you can find if you search through our content.
