Marcello Hernández was born on August 19, 1997. He is an American stand-up comedian and actor. Hernández joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as a featured player before the start of the show's 48th season in 2022. Marcello André Hernández González grew up in Miami, Florida, where he attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. He graduated from John Carroll University in 2019 with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Communication. He is of Cuban descent on his mother's side and Dominican descent on his father's side. Dear Marcelo, thank you for describing so accurately what happens to Italians in many parts of the world (English-speaking at least) when tell someone they're Italian... or just say their name, which happens to be Italian. The only difference is that most people don't take 7 or any years of Italian in school, so "their Italian", which they proceed to show off in the comedy accent they think you should have, is usually even worse 😑 I once also had a fantastically ignorant English guy berate me at a party for admitting I don't speak Spanish, because he thought that as an Italian speaker I should be able to speak Spanish, kind of by osmosis 🤣

Over the phone or something they start asking if I speak Spanish and then proceed with the I "Speak a little"don't get me wrong I love it! 😂 1- The fact that you're learning another language (regardless which) already tells me you're smarter. 2- If is Spanish, I know is because something in the culture attracted you I want to know what 😂 is it the food? Is it history? Is it music? I can tell you if you say history of ANY country of Latin America we're going to be good friends because I just love history 😂 and I hate how history is taught in the US.
