Op should take a page from her own book and analyze that statement for herself. Yeah, it's normal to feel a bit bummed out, but you're not entitled to a celebrity's time. They can request something from you, but you always have the choice to give an apology or forgiveness. Honestly I think some people are be harsh to Op on that last one. If he been best friends with that guy from when he a kid, he reaction makes sense. People will that long of a friendship especially since childhood their friendship get treated like brotherhood and they treat each other’s like brothers. From his comments it sounds like he from no fault state, so on her way out she also financially screwed the guy. He sister also apparently didn’t work full time, and still hasn’t admitted to the affair. Which is just salt the wound. Honestly his mum is now laying in the bed she picked. She had chosen the emotional support her daughter, and her son picked to support his best friend. She doesn’t want to accept it will never go back to the way it was, and honestly that’s her fault. For reference, op, me and people like us are demisexual. We can't feel/experience or have sexual attraction without first emotional attraction/interest (sorry English isnt my native language) there is a name for us, we are part of the LGBTQia+ community and you can be bisexual AND demisexual, demisexual AND heterosexual, demisexual AND gay/lesbian, etc. You can also be demisexual and asexual/aromantic/greysexual (some argue they're both part of the same sub spectrum) you can also be demisexual and non binary/gender fluid. Demisexuality is more often experienced by people who are ace/aro and people who are autistic. It is also not abnormal or weird. We are not "bisexual with extra steps" and no, not everyone feels and thinks this way because a "normal" heterosexual man can go out, get drunk and have a 1 night stand but most demi's physically can not do that. We need to build a mentally and emotionally stimulating connection before sexual attraction and if we dont vibe emotionally, we wont vibe sexually. You can also be demisexual with a preference for one gender/type as in you can be demi and only have interest in cis men or you can be demi and have interest only in cis women, trans women, non binary and gender fluid. Just because we are demi doesnt mean we dont have preferences. It's a spectrum within a spectrum lol

I never got excited over seeing or speaking to anyone famous bc just don't find them to be more special than anyone else. I admire their work, but not them if that makes sense. That being said...before they became famous, most of these people yearned for the day they get recognized in public and have fans swooning over their presence. It's sad, but true. They wanted to be considered better than the every day person. They signed up for this and once they have it for a while a lot of them act like they are too good to acknowledge fans. It REALLY pisses me off when they blow off a child. It's part of their job and why they get to live such a privileged life. You pull her aside and go "Their security says that they are celebrating her daughters birthday...we should let them enjoy it. If it was your birthday youd want the day to be about you, right? Theyll remember you were such a nice fan letting them have a nice day to themselves! And we can go celebrate having gotten a chance to see them. Lets get ice cream!" Switch it around to something positive and something to be proud of. When I worked as a baby sitter and kids didnt want to help clean up before parents got home, id tell them how proud and amazed their parents will be to see such a clean house after being out all day. The kids usually get excited and clean up because kids soak up stuff like that as a sponge. So sad she didnt get the same opportunity....

I don't blame the celebrity for wanting some peace on her daughter's birthday. It sounds like the security is there for a reason but the complaining mother thinks her child is entitled no matter what. No she's not !

Holy 🐄, I've got my own story I can add along side Story #2! When I turned 19.... a "few"(LMAO) years back, my sister, who I was living with at the time(I took a year off between high school and college to make some more money, but primarily to figure out what I wanted to get into), her husband, and my very VERY bestest friend, my four year nephew and I made a day(at my sister's request/demand) for celebrating my 19th(legal drinking age in Ontario, Canada)Birthday. I just wanted something that included my incredible nephew, sooo first stop Toronto Zoo. It was actually a lovely warm day in mid April. I was so in love with my nephews reactions to all of the animals. I had purchased him so many books that I read to him nightly, many being about creatures spanning the globe. I was blown away with how much he had retained from MY readings. We were in the orangutan habit when my nephew and I were chattering away, my sister calmly grabbed my chin lifting it a few inches and turning it to my direct left. I'm not going to name names but that is when I saw the lead singer of a very world renowned band that the lead singer was just having a day out with his young two children. My sister and brother in law pestered the living HELL out of me to go up and ask for an autograph. They kept saying things like "it'll be fine" and "it's your birthday". I felt extremely uncomfortable as the more I "watched" so many others recognized him and gave him a wide birth as he was having a day with his kids, so I did too. From what I could see that day, almost EVERYONE recognized him, but just kept chugging along for the sake of his children giving them a day out to the zoo with their Dad. 🦧❤️

Even before I started this video, I wasn't surprised at the first story. Opening a relationship in an attempt to save it almost never works, and often it ends up breaking it faster. I didn't expect what was going on with the girlfriend, though. I'm glad OP is doing better now. Second story: wow, OP sounds super entitled. Third story: Definitely an ESH. There's a difference between calling out a cheater and slut-shaming, and OP's remark about diseases went way into the latter. But the sister did hurt her ex-husband badly.

S1) OP should of known the moment that the concept of open relationship was offered the relationship was already over. That was a sign that their partner either has been cheating, has been thinking of cheating or has been lining up the person they want to cheat with. Then to turn around and threaten to end the relationship? It was over when the respect and consideration was nuked at the option of opening a relationship. It's one thing you go into a relationship with expectations, boundaries and wishes. The very moment someone changes that by making demands for an open relationship or your done always settle for being done and know your worth. Therapy should of been on the table first and foremost to work at the issues and get to the why she wanted to play trick pony. People who expect you to do the pick me dance likes tugging at the strings of the commitment, but once they've shown they could care less you need to cut those strings and do better. If she had issues she should of sought out therapy, get help in a healthy way and work at these issues. Anyone who wants to makes excuses for lack of accountability aren't mature enough to look after a rock garden. Sounds like OP's healing and recovering from that toxic relationship. S2) Dude you were told she was there for personal reasons and would like to not be disturbed. Then you bash her online for wanting personal space for her daughter's birthday? She probably sacrifices special moments like performances at schools, recitals, activities as well as other things when she has to work. So when she decided to take personal time for her daughter she's supposed to forgo that just because you want to throw a hissy fit? Yes you suck. You're not owed anyone's personal time especially when you've already been told no. Sounds like you spoil your daughter too much and I hope this celeb got wind of your post, the comments and puts you on blast for being entitled.

Story 3: Cheating is always destructive- not only to the immediate intimate relationship but also to the extended family around. The cheater is in the wrong here. One can choose who to associate with … some chose to just simply overlook the cheating behavior and try to bury it, and others choose to not associate with a cheater at all. Kind of falls along the lines of “who you associate with, reflects who you are as well”! I don’t blame OP - he has strong boundaries- good for him. To him, cheating and lying are deal breakers - as they would be for me. And anybody who tries to shame him for having boundaries, falls under the same category- deal breaker- family or not - the family and the sister ATAs

Story 2- OP is TA. If any celebrity were to stop every time a fan wanted a picture, they would never get anywhere! It would be constant. They're people too, they have lives and obligations. If they want to focus on family then they should be able to. They're just regular humans like the rest of us, they just have a job that makes them popular. Yes, their success is partly thanks to fans, but that doesn't mean they owe their fans every second of their personal lives. Do you know what a musician owes their fans? A damn good live performance. That's it. They don't owe anyone anything outside of that.

Listening to this on a road trip with my daughter (7 yrs old) and after story 2 I asked her “ Hey baby, what if we went out to eat somewhere and Jojo Siwa (her favorite ) was there?” Her: “Omg I’d be so excited I’d run to her” Me: “Would you take a picture with her?” Her: “yeah!” Me: “What if she didn’t want to take a picture with you “ Her: “Aw that’d be ok I’d just buy her some food” Like ok aww. I honestly was expecting disappointment or her to say she’d beg her or just try to get a picture anyway. Ig I might be doing this parenting thing ok after all 😅

There is no such thing as "opening a relationship/marriage etc.", it has to be agreed upon from the get-go. She probably had a candidate(s) lined up even before starting the conversation with OP. Only correct response is to show them the door to the streets.

The last story proves cheaters defend cheaters. OP’s sister is disgusting and so are those comments trying to bash him. No one cares how she screwed over his best friend at all. They just want to rug sweep and make him the Gillian because he wants her held accountable.

I think everyone can agree what the sister did was wrong but parents are supposed to love their children unconditionally. Dispute their daughter’s moral failings they still love her. OP demanding his parents cut off his sister is incompletely unreasonable.
@Becks-and-books Жыл бұрын
The problem here is he’s giving ultimatums and gets mad when it doesn’t have the effect he thinks it should. One child says to exclude the other child, the other child is alright with everyone coming. Either they actively exclude a child, or let another child make their own choices.

@@Finallyflowered yep. Parents’ love isn’t and shouldn’t be conditional. It should take A LOT more than cheating to make a parent cut a child off, no matter how badly one thinks of cheating.

Exactly. He went from "victim" to enabler. Monogamous people CANNOT be in open relationships. When will people understand this??? The moment she suggested they should open their relationship is the moment he should have packed her bags and sent her out the door because the relationship ended the moment it was brought up. And you just know it was instigated by her going back to college. She was probably already cheating by the time she asked him for an open relationship.

Story 3 - ESH, he’s asking the parents to choose a child because his sister is a cheat. Cheating is awful but it really has nothing to do with the parents. It’s not like she personally attacked him, she betrayed his friend and left him. What was she supposed to do after being caught cheating? Stay just so her brother can be happy. It’s good that that relationship is over. He’s upset for his friend and he can be but it’s really entitled of him to expect the parents to cut the daughter out for him to be there. The parents suck for trying to force him to apologise when he did nothing wrong in the start and the sister obviously sucks.

With the last story highly depends on how religious the parents are if they had been doing similar things op had done then he's NTA just throwing their hypocrisy right at them or, if they have ranted about cheaters in similar ways but sense it's their daughter they don't care. To be fair it sounds like OP said if you will not hold her accountable for her actions I will. Though the OP is more aggressive then most we have seen similar things before and the OP was deemed NTA also, sounds like he doesn't bring it up most of the time until they show hypocrisy like with him only going out three times and them raising a stink about it.

Last Story: NTA. Tori wants to sleep around and the parents want to excuse it because "family". When someone willfully screws up, and yes this was willful, they should be taken to task. If OP doesn't want anything to do with his sister who doesn't seem too bothered by what she did, then his parents shouldn't pressure him. If anything, their unwillingness to see reason because family is very telling. If they excused her cheating, where's the line?

S3: I mean it does sound like his sister is a biohazard. Don't blame him for wanting nothing to do with her. Hard to tell what his beef is with his parents. Does he hate his parents for not disowning his sister? "I responded with a bible verse about adultery and how the support it" - Refusing to disown your kid is not the same as condoning everything they do. Basically neither the parents or son should be making demands about what kind of relationship the other has to have with daughter/sister.
@nikkismith5490 Жыл бұрын
For story #3. Zooterone had it wrong. “You really quoted Bible verses about adultery to your father?” It’s something I saw a lot in the church. People would be adamantly “The Bible is law” but would ignore parts of it when their family did things that violated their beliefs. Quoting verses to people like that is a fairly common way people call out hypocrisy. And judging by OOP and the responses from the dad…I’d say they’re probably in that grouping of people who liked to cherry pick when they need it.
