MAWA CAKE - Parsi Tea Time Cake

This one is a VERY VERY SPECIAL RECIPE, its a MAWA CAKE! It is a traditional recipe made in Irani Cafes in Mumbai - B. Merwan is most famous and usually sells out very early in the morning.

1 1/3 cup Flour
1 cup Butter
2 cups Icing sugar
1/2 cup Milk
5 Eggs
1/2 cupful Vanilla
250gm fresh Mawa or Khoya (get it from your halwai or mithai shop)
1tsp Baking Powder

The Sassanian Boulongerie’s mawa cake is horrible compare to this one. I remember once we were served not only stale but rotten cakes which we had to report to the lady sitting at the counter. Thank you so much Anahita for this recipe 🙏🙏🙏

I made this cake. I would suggest If you are using microwave oven, bake at 160 for 40 mins for it to cook properly.
