The new D/D stuff definitely is not the difference maker but extenders are what we needed and we got them so I’m generally happy. If we get a really good tuner and some better extra deck payoffs then it might move to the top of unplayable instead of just unplayable.

A small Fiendsmith engine in D/D/D actually helps insulate you from Nibiru. 1. Activate Engraver to search Sanct 2. Activate Sanct to make a token 3. Link off the token into Requiem 4. Tribute Requiem for Engraver from deck 5. Shuffle back Requiem for Engraver from GY 6. Overlay both Engravers into Big Caesar on exactly your 5th summon. Then from there full combo as best you can. I have a Fiendsmith D/D/D deck that I played at locals a while back and went 2-2 with it. I actually beat a Fiendsmith Snake Eyes player, it was pretty sweet

To explain the pend effect of count. In the manga, reiji’s first ace monster is D/D/D destiny king zero Laplace. Its main effect that matters is when it battles an opponent’s monster, it’s attack becomes double the opponent’s attack. Is what I would say if it didn’t say original attack on Laplace. I mean, works with headhunt. But it is still a minor issue that it doesn’t work with Laplace. I guess you could crash if done right due to laplace’s battle protection.!

The way you do it is by setting up zero king on summon 2 or 3 and locking out hand traps. Almost every 3 card combo can do it. However it still needs a 3 card combo, and going 2nd isn't as useful

They are good! New support has made the deck evolve since its last meta stay in 2022. Armored xyz allows for a turn skip. Throne allows for more consistency. Squirmer allows settings up zero king on summon #2 or 3 at latest to lock out hand traps. Dipsie fiend is also kinda good, but with new stuff might not even be played. Lamia, i wouldn't even play. The old 1 card kepler combo, definitely dont play. The 2 new cards fill in a lot of the issues we had. Set up in count, and extension in scale. They also both help unbrick hands. All the deck needs now is another link to make after getting locked in to D/D/D Fiendsmith also functions as a starter and endboard piece due to making caesar, which floats btw.

I love D/D/D so on the one hand, very excited for these cards, they help with consistency and boosting the average power of the endboard, but they don't really fix the problem of hand traps or olaying into boards Now on the one hand im sad because I wish one of my favorite decks was more powerful, but on the other hand it's probably best for the health of the game if D/D isn't meta. You think people complain about 30 min buod a board combo turns now, wait until D/D/D is meta and that will really kill the game

I love the new DD cards so much, the archetype is so rich with flavor you see the new cards and go: "What does D/D/D/D Super Dimensional Sovereign Emperor Zero Paradox refer too" and it's just a card Reiji randomly played while stalking everybody from space. He used these two to summon Maxwell before literal satan (zero laplace) became his new ace monster

The new aleister is so danm crazy. Discard spoon for zoroa, ns zoroa to equip the link 1 from extra, ress spoon, use the link 1 to add aleister, aleister ss itself, fuse with spoon to make mechaba or the new fusion. Then you can use spoon gy effect to equip another card to zoroa and you could summon or the megistus fusion to make a rank 4, or the snake eyes fusion to make a lv12 syncro

so this is how i learn that they've been printing cards to support fiendish engine Ω ... that they've been printing cards that summon the same tokens as fiendish engine Ω they are five cards into this and they have yet to print a single line of text that has any sort of payoff for making motor tokens. which is impressive, considering there's a monster that buffs machines you summon and that could _at least_ make for some dumb caveman token beatdown shit ... except it's set up in a specific way that makes it so that the tokens gets a whopping *_100_* atk boost. as a. as a hard opt this shit is as phoned-in as fucking first gen duel terminal stuff. i'd ask why they get a spell that lets any dark machine pretend to be a shitter version of any orcust of their choice, except that's the sole card that actually enables playing fiendish engine Ω. so, hey, if that's what it takes to give these things the slightest semblance of a goal at least motor shell is a buddy for black salvo that doesn't require running fucking cyberdarks. that's nice. salvo's been waiting for one these past 15 years

It is nice to finally have usable support for ddds. but, in all honestly, they are so full of details that doesn't convince me to say they're good, like, why are they activated summons instead of inherent summons like sprigth, kashtira and diabellestar, why is the big guy not a 6 to free space on the ed, or why it isn't a d/d/d? why is the small guy not a tuner, why can turn a scale to 0 ONLY ON THE STANDBY PHASE? they're good extender, but overall don't cut much of your main engine bricks and in fact give you even less space for non engine in a deck that already has little to no room for non engine.

D/D/D is a guilty pleasure of mine but that support doesn’t look all that game changing. Ideally what we needed is a rank 6 that can reborn itself from the graveyard but instead we got more situational cards.

Just having a useful 6 to make caesar to free some space in the ed would be huge, ideally, the new support should help make caesar and Siegfried easier/earlier, yeah, you can do it right now, but by the time you can summon caesar or Siegfried you're already pass the point where they would be useful, you want caesar and Siegfried to protect gilgamesh from gamma and imperm, and by the time caesar arrives you're usually way past the nibiru threshold, if we had better ways to make them without burning through your whole ed it would make the deck better by giving you more options, like, you could put some generic tools like muckraker or sp, or more ddd boses like kali yuga, beowulf or the other synchros. Better yet, give us a semi generic link 3 (or an in archetype link 1) that sets a single scale or a contract directly from the deck, if gilgamesh gets negated, there's a chance you can make things work by using Thomas to try to pend summon.

Scale surveyor can replace GoDDD Rage, Patents and Cerberus in certain combos which makes the engine better now that we can cut those bricky cards. It's also full combo alongside Keplar, but not Griffon or Copernicus sadly.
