I thought I saw Gabors pain when talking about his mothers diary. I can only imagine how painful as an adult & parent it must have been to read that. Xx

It takes a lot of misery to make one amazing.

Funny, thing...well, not funny. My mother's death left me cold, but not my father's. When he died, i had a breakdown. Go figure! For the longest time i couldn't understand this, but now i do. I lost my mother when i was 17, and 25 when father died, which made me an orphan. Subconscious terror...all alone in the world.

Never thought I’d read such a similar experience. Lost my mother when I was 13 and just ignored it. Lost my dad in my 30s and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through. When you’re young you don’t realize the impact of it as much I think. Being an orphan truly sucks at any age I guess.

@@LilButterfly5 yes, it's sad when you see other people having decent parents in middle age. My grandmother outlived my mother by 11 yrs bc she was selfish and self centered and always put herself first. My mother was her slave. ☹️

@@LilButterfly5Yeah so true. Lost my dad at 18 and it didn't hurt as much as loosing my mom at 23. Being an orphan makes you feel so insecure
