Wearing barefoot shoes when out for a walk/run/errands plus wearing spacers on your bare toes before and after a long day can really help with the health of your own two feet, since the spacers fix the foot deformities and squished toes/bunions caused by badly-designed shoes...

most of the time in the islands just barefoot or cheap rubber slippers which are like barefoot otherwise, I hate shoes but wear zero-rise shoes and also wide-toe box ones like the Altra shoes as I could not wear normal shoes so uncomfortable

Been all over the vivobarefoot shoes but they have a fault if you have mallet toes (bent at the knuckles). Anyone know any quickish remedys?

Wow this is great, Im with Mark running has never been fun or easy for me at all, ever. Anything over 2 miles ive stunk at really bad, i also consider myself as a hobby jogger too. However i dont agree with if no improvements comes from running maybe do something else. I haven’t improved in 20 years but still jog 2-4 times a week. Ive been curious about Ultimate and may try it out if there is something near me.

Shoes were originally developed to protect the feet, to avoid getting cut, scrapped and potentially injuring your foot, it was never meant to be a modern day convenience to facilitate massive amounts of running, it's left our feet much weaker today as a result of having so much cushion and softening, and most people don't know how to run, but the shoe was meant to protect the foot, period.

This guy is right about the footwear. I’d say he is talking out of his ass about everything else. He just doesn’t want to run anymore so he’s saying it’s bad. Just say you don’t want to do it haha.

Running is catabolic. Muscle is what you need for longevity. Ask any menopausal woman, running doesn't take off weight from menopause but lifting weights sure will.

My favorite part is when asked about the Liver King. He essentially says he ripped him off . Wow! Extremely funny when he’s on this show promoting his footwear that is the same thing as Vivo barefoot? Pot calling the kettle black?

Is wearing flip-flops good or bad for feet? I would think they're somewhat beneficial as your toes aren't smashed together.

Flip flops change your gait since there’s no heel strap, the big toe ends up grabbing the ground to compensate, shortening it. Sandals with a heel strap is ideal.

Idk man, I’d care less what people think and more about how your foot is functioning and developing. It’s funny how people diss sandals these days but they were literally the shoe of warriors in history. Eh, it is what it is.

Bro get that phone out of your pocket!!! If you ever wanted a testosterone killing, sperm killing and energy zapping mode, you would slide your 5G wifi emitting phone zapping your testicals with EMF radiation, you can see how close your phone is from your junk, why would you keep your phone in your shorts when you can have it on the table? This is a big no no, unless you have it on Airplane mode, dude more guys need to wake up and be aware of having their cell phone in their pocket and putting their laptop on their lap working for hours, it's very harmful WiFi and cell phone data is zapping your manhood, it's no good bro!!!

Yeah but it’s also not good to run lengthy distances with minimalist shoes or barefoot either, especially on pavement. If you’re running for distance, sprints on a track, or trail, you need some good shoes, period! I’m not saying it’s not good to go barefoot every once in a while, but these good shoes exist and have evolved for a reason: running athletes have evolved in our capabilities of athletic performance so our gear needs to improve simultaneously to allow for the workload being expended. I mean it’s no coincidence that most of the people saying it’s ok to run barefoot on any surface, are actually not runners themselves. I mean real true die hard runners know better.

Hey Mark, I love your stuff but I think some of the stuff is whimsical thinking the biome mechanics and new shoes has helped. People not hurt them. If it is they have the wrong shoes those smelly toe shoes may help you, but they’re not gonna help most people.

Can you guys correct, or at least push back, on some of the bad information some of your guests put out? I'm so tired of hearing about "evil seed oils" and other BS diet claims that grifters like this guy or Paul Saladino claim without any nuance to the discussion. You've had Layne Norton on here who actually will go into the nuance of these topics. If he would just stick to his foot talk I might have tried out these shoes, but he has to go into things either he knows nothing about, or purposefully lying about, and it makes me think his shoes are a grift too. Your channel is so good in general, but every now and then you give a platform to these people that just spread misinformation unchecked. Still subscribed and will check out other guests though!
