@@airadaimagery692 It handle well. I have used it on the road a lot and it has done great. As with all knobby tires, it will wander a bit when you encounter grooves in the road. It also is challenging on metal grates on bridges bot the performance off road is worth the it. The fatty 100 mm wide front tire is much better in sand than a standard width front. I’ve burned through two rallZ sets on my last 3 BDRs and am 100% sold on them. Even when I got into some gnarly greasy mud that was about 6” deep for roughly 1/2 mile on section 1 of the ORBDR this fall, they had a slight advantage over the second tire I’d choose (the Motoz adventure(?) tire). I’ll take faster wear over better tire life when I need it without a doubt. As far as the noise while dealing with pounding the pavement to and from said BDRs? Meh, the tinnitus from my career along with wind noise drowns that out nicely.

I've run through Michelin, Hidenau, Continental, Dunlop, Mitas, and Motoz ADV tires. The Motoz RallZ tires are hands down the best for big ADV bikes. The only caveat I'd say is if you are running the Motoz RallZ front, get the tubeless version even if you're running a tube. The tube front has slightly thin sidewalls and I have damaged a couple of them on hard square edge hits. The tubless front has an extra ply and it's a little stronger. The rears are perfect in the tubeless version. I get about 4000 miles on the rear with a heavy throttle hand on my KTM 890 ADV R mostly off road, and about 6000 on the front. They have decent traction on the pavement and in the rain, and phenomenal traction off road for ADV tires.

Hey Kyle, maybe in a future vid you could show the difference in tread spacing on the different sizes. For example I've seen people say the 130/80 17 Rallz rear is much more aggressive than the 150/70 17 Rallz. Would be very nice to have confirmation of that and maybe even actual measurements before ordering one for my DR650.

The 130/80-17 is what comes on the 390 Adv. I’ve run two 150/80-17 tires on that wheel with great success. The tire manufacturer makes a big difference too… even when the sidewall dictates a size… the physical measurements and profiles are way off. Same with the 90/90-21 tube vs. tubeless. Pretty crazy really.

A little over 1,000 miles on the Adventure rear and Dualventure front. So far the most stable ADV tire with the most traction I have ridden on dirt and in mud with my 1290, however, they also inspire the least confidence on pavement. The AX41s absolutely railed on pavement while doing pretty decent off-road, but, the rear would be smoked for any off-road work in under 1,500 miles.

Just got a new Motoz Adventure rear to try on my 23 890 ADVR. It sure seems heavy and stiff. Dreading mounting it myself. Lol. I was amazed i got 9k miles out the rear on the stock Mitas E09+'s, mind you its now to the center wear bar (nearly a slick in the center tread). Amazing how much meat is left on the sides and how flat/squared off the tire has got. I still get surprisingly good propulsion in the soft beach sand even without airing down. The front still seems to have plenty of life left. Between that and the cost of the Dual Venture, I've decided to wait a bit longer to replace the front. It was a tough decision not going back with the E09+. I daily commute the bike to work but try to hit the beach each weekend and also hit up a nearby area that tends to have a lot of slick clay mud. My thinking the adventure will do that better but not last quite as long. Any thoughts Kyle? @manybikes

I realize the perception of a smooth tire is relative, but is there much difference between the GPS and the Tractionator rear tire? I put the GPS front and rear on a 2019 Africa Twin AS and the rhythmic vibration from 25 to 40 is horrible in 3rd and 4th gear. I believe this is probably a third-order vibration related to this particular bike? We're checking out tires for the wife's bike, Suzuki 800DE and she doesn't want to lose the smooth ride on the street and highway. What would you recommend?
@manybikes
@manybikes 29 күн бұрын
Yes, smooth is relative and that vibration / hum of the tires is for sure apparent on some bikes and not on others. My R1200GSA was HORRIBLE and my 1190 Adv R or 390 Adv, nothing. The Adventure tires were made to roll smooth and get great traction. I find them to be really smooth. Not quite as smooth as the GPS due to the center strip, but the added traction of the individual lugs is worth it in my opinion. Smooth rides are also gotten from soft sidewalls too... Lots of our 50/50 tires are really stiff and that lends itself to a harsh ride. I love the Bridgesone AX41 for soft sidewalls and great traction, but I do find the Motoz Adventure to be smoother than the AX41. The Dunlop TrailMax Raid tires are super smooth too... I liked those a lot. Motoz Adventure rear and Dual Venture front would be another great combo.

Do you air down off road? There are lots of potential variables... and I don't have an answer for you. I have had a tire that cracked, on my 950 Super Enduro, and I cut it in half and the amount of ply and rubber under the crack is robust! There is no fear of the superficial surface cracks. I’m looking to replace my Tusk Dsport Front tire on my 300 Rally. The Dsport performs great off road, but I would prefer something a little more sure footed On road, without loosing off road performance. H/T, or Rallz, or something different? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have tye new dunlop raids on my vstrom 800 de. For some reason I get a whistle, howling noise at around 40 mph. It is wearing relatively fast as I do 70/30 paved/unpaved. The front tire will last longer than the rear, what rear do you recommend me to get? I was thinking of the dunlop trailmax missions. Any thoughts?

Many people LOVE the TrailMax Mission tires. I too get a howl with the front Raid. Not super loud but I can hear it.

Im running the rallz on the rear and AX41 front. Grip preference to dirt, which motoz front bests AX41 longevity and grip?

Thanks for watching! Grip is similar, but the Dual Venture (if flipped when needed) will outlast the AX41 3 to 1 in most cases. Check this out: How to Choose? 3 Top ADV Front Tires | Motoz Dual Venture & RallZ or Bridgestone AX41 @exploready kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZaVmKWsoJWjjbM

Yes, in the wet I’d take the Rallz (for the silica), over the Adventure, every time - ask me how I know😮 Otherwise, the GPS also has good silica and I can recommend it off-road as well in everything other than long stretches of uphill mud or sand

990 - thinking DV up front with a Rallz in back to replace my AX41s. I have a 1.6" Woody's on front - can I get away with the tubeless version and run a tube or best to get the tube version due to the skinny rim?
@manybikes
@manybikes 10 ай бұрын
Tube version on the skinny rim is my preference. Either will work but the tube type is way more aggressive off-road
