I have been a smoker since I was in Grade 9, I thought it was cool seeing my old classmates doing it so I started to fit in. Thinking of it now in my early 20's, I really regret it. I hope someday soon I actually quit for good! I love your video, you're so pretty!

good job! Ive been a smoker since I was 17 but now I dont smoke cuz I look at the beginning of ancient times the first person who got the idea to smoke I think that cigarettes and tobacco is a haunting, like a poltergiest, it makes you euphoric for a little while then starts to give you stress, emotional, and physical pain, like in the work place caring what others think of u and worrying about their intentions to give u problems and more stress. tobacco is a haunting so stay away from it and be happy

I started at 18, now I am 25, almost 26, 180 cm and 73 kg. I smoked 20-40 cigs a day for 5 years and drank 5-20 beers at least 300 days a year for 5 years. I am trying to quit everything now.

I noticed the same with work and my bosses. They were all women between 24 and 40 as well, so I could go out with them, make them laugh.. and it definitely worked in my favour. At that point though it was easy to quit, I had only smoked for 3-4 years and if I wanted to take a week without smoking to work on my fitness or for whatever other reason, it wasn't a problem. 5 years later at 22 it's another game. It's harder than I could have expected. The patches make you itchy haha and they smell so bad. Cold turkey is really the best way. I have a lot of respect for you and anyone else who has managed to quit.

I am 20 years old now, I started smoking when I was 18 years old, I was in the habit of smoking cigarettes for 2 years, today is may 11 2017, and I quit smoking 4 days ago, I stared because I wanted to see what smoking felt like, and because of all the stress I was dealing with at school, and it felt horrible, I am so happy, I haven,t had a cigarette for 4 days, I am doing good so far. I think I improved a lot by quitting.

I've also known people who could only quit cold turkey. It's different for everyone. It's not a useless method. You should try thought...don't know if you've heard of it

Withdrawing varies from one person to another and at older age with more damage withdrawal is like hell you'll get nightmares and depression etc and your body can't shake that off as quickly and as efficiently as a 20 years old, so gums and other NRT stuff are actually very good quitting aid and you can gradually let them go

People I've worked with who smoke always seem to say that travelling costs too much - as they are smoking a pack a day, drinking drive-thru coffee daily, and eating out often. If you add all that money up, a nice holiday can be easily afforded.

What you said about breaks is *so* true! Working in a bar/restaurant with all smokers - they would get way more and way longer breaks than me. (still, having more/longer breaks is not worth smoking) :) and then working in a kitchen the smokers could "sneak-out" for a smoke, and would be out there for basically the length of time as a normal break. It didn't really bother me much, otherwise I would have started smoking. I just always thought that I'd have better long-term health while the smokers got more breaks :)

Biggest mistake I ever made, was to quit smoking. I gained 140 pounds. I struggled with diet and exercise but I could not stop the weight from coming on. I went from a slim 135 all the way up to a pot belly 275. That's right, I more than doubled my former body weight. My waist went from a 32 to a 50. I got kicked out of the navy for being obese, and I lost my valuable retirement if I could have stayed in. I developed severe sleep apnea and I'm a borderline diabetic. Had I known I was going to get fat like this, you best believe, I'd have never quit smoking. I'd take cancer any day, compared to being big and fat

I started when I was 16 and smoked for 26 yrs. I finally quit after I was diagnosed with cancer and needed a stem cell transplant. I did it by vaping. Was the only way I could quit and worked for me. I encourage anyone who smokes to consider quitting. Having and fighting cancer is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Glad u quit! Thanks for posting this video!

Lea & Leo Vlogs I have a form of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma called Mycosis Fungoides. My white T Cells are cancerous and it is a rare form of cancer of the blood. I am currently stage 4a. But, i am very lucky and I have a stem cell donor and am preparing for a stem cell transplant! So i am pretty excited! I know the cancer I have is not known to be related or caused by smoking, but, we know that at least 30 percent of cancer related deaths are directly caused by smoking. If anyone can avoid getting cancer or other illnesses by not smoking, it is worth it! Cancer is not fun. I wake every night in pain, feel like crap most of the time and have to go through horrible treatments such as chemo and radiation in order to stay alive. My greatest wish would be for no one to ever smoke!

Hey Kaylee! I loved your video. You seem that have a grip again and you're able to talk about it without seeming to have cravings and that is really inspiring. I'm smoking a pack a day of Marlboro reds and I'm realizing that its affecting my health now after 6 months of steady smoking. I found myself in the ER for acid reflux, gastritis, and nausea! The doctor says its caused from smoking so I know I have to quit so I had a couple of questions for you. 1) Do you think I need to see a counselor for this?and2) How do you get through the days when you're really stressed and start to crave them?Sorry if you already answered this.

My dad was encouraged to smoke at 11 because older teens thought it was funny to watch a kid smoke. My mom learned from older teens at 13, and enabled from other servers to continue as an adult. They developed lifetime addictions they fell back on during stress. My parents enable me to smoke and buy me cigarettes, starting at 16 and continuing as I'm 18. Though my sister is utterly repulsed by anything smoking related, whether cigarettes, weed, or vaping. Crazy how exposure can cause different reactions.

I mimicked my grandfather and sneaked around with his pipe around 9 years old, which he allowed me to do at his place babysitting for summers. I had my own corncob pipe at 10, smoked Captain Black as much as I wanted every weekday. But I'd always been fascinated by cigarettes, lighting up my first one at 11. My parents knew I wanted to and did start smoking cigs. Marlboro Lights like the country song, pack a day within a couple years. Lol I smoked full flavor in HS

When I was younger I was a weekend binge drinker and I enjoyed myself hugely. I don't regret one penny I spent on beer and never became an alcoholic. I am glad I didn't have any urge to smoke, as I consider it a complete waste of money by comparison. What people get out of it will forever remain a mystery to me. They seem to spend the greater part of their lives trying to learn how to " unsmoke ".

I have only smoked for about three years and I really want to stop, but every time I try I just cave in and go get a pack. It freaking blows the first week. A lot of people quit when they get the flu because they're suffering for a week anyway. Try non-nicotene gum or hard candies and know cravings dont last more than 5 minutes so try to occupy yourself. I would brush my teeth sometimes. Best of luck!

Fuck, im 17 and started at 15. My cravings for ciggs have gone up exponentially, before when i was 15 it would be 1 to 2 a day, at 16 3-5 and now im 17 and up to 5-9. Although i roll my ciggs, so i guess there is less tabak in it. I really need help. I do boxing and i can see my performance decreasing. At class i would start to crave real bad. I haven't got anyone by my back to help me. I smoke herbs weekly and i'm thinking if i should use it as a substitute to my ciggs. as for some reason, being high doesnt make me crave. But then i'd have to be full on stoned for a week. idk what to do. I know my cravings will fuck up my future, i know i will get some sort of disease if i continue smoking more by time.

Ella Ringrose That doesn't make any sense. The last thing you should be telling someone to do, is start vaping with nicotine infused vape juice. You stated that you no longer craved cigarettes, when you started vaping, but you were still ingesting nicotine. It would be more effective to vape with a juice that doesn't contain nicotine. Otherwise, you're STILL addicted to the NICOTINE.

I never smoked in my life. It is good that you quit. I was curious though, what makes it hard to quit? Is it not as simple as just not lighting another? Does something in an addicted smokers body tell a smoker that it is time to smoke (like a feeling or sensation) or it is more when they choose to (or both)? If there is something that tells a smoker when to smoke does it come on more like a timer or more activity based (when they do certain things)? How long (on average) does a smoker go after smoking before they have to smoke their next cigarette?

+Stephen Hinkle It's kind of like hunger and it is from nicotine level slowly depleting in the body and needing to top it up constantly.
@stphinkle
@stphinkle 8 жыл бұрын
What I was curious is does it deplete more on a schedule or does it deplete based on what activities you do? Also, do you feel something in your body when your nicotine level is low (as in physically or mentally, and if so what)? And can you predict or anticipate when the level is going to be low at certain times or situations or is more just random?

+Stephen Hinkle the nicotine withdrawel is not that bad actually it's more phsycological with the habits and patterns you created :)
@KayleeKapital

Stephen Hinkle It is a growing anxiousness that you feel. Like an itch to scratch that would be inappropriate to do in public. Amahana is right too it is also psychological conditioning of a habit as well.

Don't spend too much time alone and feeding to your thoughts about past guilt and all beter spend time with friends who doesn't smoke and go out eat good.. Enjoy the friends who will show you the life without smoking as you used to live and enjoy before you started.... 15 days and the urges will stop 1 month your skin will start to look good stomach pain or something will start to vanish try to take deep breaths breathing will also get normal just don't go back.... One thing get into your mind no matter why you started what triggered you if it was your fault or someone else's . You are not going back to it ever in life... Eat healthy... Work out or go for a walk surround yourself with good people

I used to smoke cigarettes and Cigars and then I changed my habitat and I started smoking Vaping and I am happy about having a Vape and you should get a vape and it is alot better and you can smoke inside your house and you don't smell like cigarette smoke and your hair won't smell and your car or your house won't smell like cigarette smoke at all and it is alot safer if you start vaping trust me and I have been vaping about 3 years now and I won't ever go back to smoking cigs or Cigars at all
