Oh wow, I had no idea about "designated survivor"! When you first started talking about it, I assumed you meant like a part of the speech where the president references some citizen is named and highlighted for overcoming some great hardship in the previous year like bad corn crop season or something, and then talk about their survival and resolve to move forward with the president's agenda. Only later did I realize you were talking about someone absent from the SOTU in case the whole place goes down. Yikes, yeah, I wouldn't want that phone call either! This is a very interesting video, thanks for sharing this!

It’s always fun to see them in old photos (in the WH, no less) lookin like straight up babies, but now I want to see like a full throwback video of montages of everyone through the Obama years. Make the guys reflect on their style choices. Make it a game for Lovett or Leave It or something. 2020 was exhausting, I think we deserve this bit of fun.

This is - again - such an inspiring, informative and entertaining look behind the work: Thank you very much from Europe! Many people don't realize how important how many people actually are to make the running of an administration seem somewhat smoothly. That's one of the many reasons we (Europe) were so extremely worried about the last government. Not only with them discarding bipartisan traditions left and right (couldn't resist) but with them discarding people in such a rapid fire way. It's a really efficient way to destroy the clockwork routines of any administration. Many people don't realize that in the end this means no clean running water and no garbage disposal in their street.
@michaeleaster18153 жыл бұрын
18:00 There is a Wikipedia page for the "List of Lenny Skutniks" so presumably if he or his family ever Googled his name, they would have found out that he has become a "term for notable people invited to sit in the gallery".

Just curious... are there any right wing podcasts that are this intelligent, funny, friendly, and informative? Whenever I try to find a right leaning youtube channel (trying to keep myself from living in a bubble) it's just non-stop hate and stupid nonsense.
@ethantorpy71373 жыл бұрын
That’s the right wing in general, sadly. They’re at war with reality and it takes a lot of hateful propaganda to keep the audience from disengaging.
@IdliAmin_TheLastKingofSambar3 жыл бұрын
Assuming that you’re only counting Trump Republicans, then...yeah, not so much. It’s hard to be friendly and informative when your entire ideology boils down to grievance and denying reality. If you include anti-Trump apostates, then there are definitely some good ones, such as Politicology and the Michael Steele Podcast. I haven’t had a chance to check out the Bulwark yet, but I believe Tim Miller is often on it, so I assume it’s pretty good.
