Impactful huh. You may not realise it but that is a little used term and is one of Trump's 'best words"that people use since he said it at the NY dinner,btw.

I miss George. Considering after what happened a few weeks ago, people could really use some of his wisdom because far too many people have let politics dictate their relationships with people. No matter who’s president, you gotta remember that it’s a big club and you ain’t in it! There’s BS coming down the road and it’s important you teach kids how to detect it and to avoid it. I’m glad I found George when I was in high school because it’s helped me navigate my way through this crazy world.

Except "both sides" is a giant intellectual copout. One side didn't actively push a dictator rapist. In georges time you could get away with "both sides". Doesn't work at all now.

Razor sharp until the end. My father showed me Carlin when I was maybe only 12. He died when I was 19, shortly after George did, but I'll never forget watching Jammin' in New York with him and laughing so hard that my stomach hurt... only to have him turn to me and manage to choke out "Don't tell your mother!" between laughs.

Y'all already upload the "you don't have rights" bit? Take care of this man's legacy Mr. Talent Agent. Sure, make all the money you can or whatever it is you wanna do, but please preserve the integrity of one of the GOATs. We know he wasn't a perfect man. But he was better than most, I imagine.

No one living has the right to tell others what does or doesn't exist after death, simply because no one living knows the real truth to it. The only people who has answers to questions like that are ones who are no longer living. Let people believe what they want to and have faith in. That's all most of us have these days to help us keep going.

George Carlin and Steven Hawkins are both saying: "Well, we sure called that one wrong."
@JimSVoit3 сағат бұрын
As George said leading into his final joke of this, his last, stand-up special: “Personally, when it comes to rights, I think one of two things is true: I think either we have unlimited rights, or we have no rights at all. Personally, I lean toward unlimited rights - I feel, for instance, I have the right to do anything I please. But, if I do something you don't like, I think you have the right to kill me. So where you gonna find a fairer fucking deal than that?”
@JimSVoit3 сағат бұрын
It's not like he was being unreasonable here either. Like he said...“If people wanna believe this stuff, it's fine with me. Let them believe it. I don't want to disabuse anyone of their beliefs...BUT...I have a question about this. A question that involves *logic* !”

The description of hell sounds like the inside of the sun. It takes a photon to get from the core to the sun to the surface 10s of thousands if not MILLIONS of years to make that journey. There’s so much densely packed stuff in the sun that photon bounces around like a pinball. It’s not until it hits the surface of the sun that’s free to fly away at the speed of light. Millions of years trying to escape and whoosh you’re going so fast time stops for you. Then again maybe that’s hell!
