Great suggestions Dr. Ergin thank you! I’ll have to try that Kodiak mix. Just saw it in Safeway a few days ago. I had all but banished pancakes from my diet. Glad to know I can enjoy them occasionally. I’m so glad yogurt is ok. I usually have plain Greek yogurt with either strawberries or blueberries and a small sprinkle of unsweetened oat granola. After I got used to the tart taste it’s actually yummy! Thx for sharing the tips. 😊

I was a borderline diabetic for years. Twenty years ago I crossed the border. Information on diabetes was scarce back then. A close friend who was also diabetic offered me this advice, read the labels if it goes over five grams of sugar avoid it. That has been my guide for twenty years. I am thankful we have your videos available nowadays to update and improve our control of diabetes. Thank You!

Pumpkin is great as a roast vege. Take a ripe pumpkin and split it, leave the skin on, remove all the seeds [ turn them into pumpkin seed snacks ] and the soft flesh that surrounds them. Cut the pumpkin into serving pieces [ I normally cut them into 1" by 2" chunks ], place skin side down on to an oiled roasting pan, spray with a good oil and then sprinkle with both black pepper and turmeric. Roast at 240C 460F for about 45 minutes. I used to cook this when cheffing for a church meal out reach and we seldomly had any left over. Any that are left over are nice smeared over hot toast for breakfast.

I made pumpkin soup last night and used the last bit of the puree for my breakfast muffin made with almond flour. Of course I used keto recipes but both were awesome. Thanks for reminding me about pumpkin.

@@rakeshmehta4556 easy. I use pumpkin puree. Not pie filling. Puree is just pumpkin. 1 can puree, 1 cup vegetable broth, 1 cup milk, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt, pepper, pinch ginger, 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Adjust seasonings to taste. Heat.

i looked up the carbs on your kodiak pancake & waffle mix - they are 30 carbs per 1/2 cup, i think that is kind of high. i am ordering the carquik baking mix - they have 16 carbs per 1/3 cup.

So I am thinking by adding almond milk and an egg will help the carbs go down a bit more plus you don't have to eat the whole serving. Thank you. I will give this a try!
