Good question. I think it came down to the new blue color in the ceramic version, when comparing that blue to the old seamaster models I prefer the old blue. So I went with the black.

You know, I was comparing this and the Longines HydroConquest you had awhile back. The Longines just has that unique "IT" factor. Yeah Omega costs more, and the brand recognition is up there, but it's design cues are like every other dive watch. I mean at 10ft distance is that an skx or an omega? With the Longines, there's little room to mistake.

Actually I had this watch: it was very nice, much more fun than my sub, but in the end I sold it as it was just way too heavy. 220 grams of steel on the wrist = unwearable for day to day for my skinny wrists at 6.5".
