Cynthia Rothrock was the inspiration for Sonya in the Mortal Kombat games. She is an amazing marital artist a true strong woman. Also about Jennifer Lawrence remark about being the first female in a action movie I recently learn that first movie star ever was actually a woman named Florence Lawrence (No relation to Jennifer Lawrence) so now Jennifer Lawrence could have the excuse that she mixed up the name :) . You can not say woman can not lead movies when the first movie star ever was a woman :) . Fyi Florence Lawrence was not also the first movie star she was an inventor who made a few inventions in the car industry but failed to register them. She tragically died when she committed suicide after she lost all her money and got injured when she tried to save a fellow co star from a fire on set.

I watched two random Whittaker episodes, neither of which were considered overly controversial, and they were PAINFUL to watch to the point where I can't bring myself to watch other Chibnall-era episodes knowing what's coming. Pretty much every character was written poorly, especially Yaz and Whittaker's Doctor and the villain's monologue was delivered in such a way that I may as well have been reading an episode synopsis.

_Mosul_ is solid. Plot simple but solid action, acting, and theme. Follows a group of guys going from point A to point B across the city over the course of a day, and the stuff they encounter on their mission. Theme/tone wise it feels like a _good version_ of a David S. Goyer film like _Training Day,_ with directing on par with your _Black Hawk Down_ and _Lone Survivor._ So if that's your sort of thing you'll get a lot out of the movie. Plus the benefit of authentic stakes and pacing. Some of the character conflict and reversals felt forced for drama and pushing the theme; a couple contrived payoffs here and there. But overall it's good rat I would recommend. You'll have to poke around though because there's similarly-named documentaries that came out around the same time.

Been slowly listening to the barsoom/carter-of-Mars audiobooks. It’s no wonder the adaptation struggled. They pulled an 80s dune with the wrist beam nonsense, introduced the overarching antagonists in a movie they were not needed in and frankly the 4 armed natives and the other locals were wildly glossed over despite the setting effectively being a lot like classic planet of the apes, Flash Gordon movie or Star Wars episode 1 nano situation. It should have been an extended sequence of skirmishes with a city siege at the end not a one n done finale versus darth-Judas About the only thing they did get right was having John carter there as a disruptive element.

Id definitely pay to see Cocaine Predator. The story would be easy. Predator kills some cartel guys. Bunhca coke gets shot up and is in the air, maybe the Predator gets hit in the face with a kilo or something. Writers could easily create a scenario to make it work. The Predator enjoys the drug so much it starts hunting the cartels looking for more cocaine 😆And of course tweaks tf out and is speed killing humans.

The christians came in to norway and offered christianity and keeping your head attached, or keeping your old faith and lose your head. Trolls ( such stories) were hunted by christians, hence trolls does not like christians.. it is quite logical actually. The movie shows well how authority tends to pick violence first , second and last, if possible. A lot of this is fun, but maybe you need to be norwegian to get it:)

Something really interesting to me is their obsession with being first rather than just being grateful. Like I'm reasonably sure that if she had said something about how great it was to be apart of an exclusive club of women who lead successful action franchises, it would have gone over well, Mayne even appearing humble. But this obsession with being first is getting more and more absurd, like with Black Panther completely failing to recognize the monumental contribution to its own existence that was Wesley Snipe's Blade. They are hypocritical on a whole other level.

When did gamora return to life?
@samwallaceart2882 жыл бұрын
The new Gamora was part of the alternate past-timeline working alongside past-Thanos. In Endgame she and Thanos use the time-travel to their advantage kicking off the big battle. In the course of the battle Nebula (now on the Avengers side) gets past-Gamora alone, tells her about how dead-Gamora met the Guardians and betrayed Thanos once, and convinces past-Gamora to switch over to the Avengers side again. That said, this past-Gamora was at the point of betraying Thanos but she doesn't know Peter Quill or the Guardians and went off on her own path; her current whereabouts are unknown but presumably Quill could seek her out and try re-introducing her to the gang, though she might not go for it.

When you get to reviewing the Willow series, there is many things wrong with it, one of the biggest being that the main character, Willow, takes a backseat in his own show. We have seen this happen over and over again. Frankly, I almost had to turn it off in the first 20 minutes… so bad at the beginning! The characters are so awful, and some of the actor choices, just ugh. I also really miss Madmartigan (Val Kilmer) too! He had so much charisma in the movie and do not see anyone filling that void. Also, does anyone else find it stupid that Willow has not become a great sorcerer yet??? Seriously? Just like Obi Wan and Boba Fett, they become useless and need to be lead around by their smarter counterparts.

Generally agree with most of your reviews, but have to say that I really liked the Witcher. Since I knew nothing of the source material, I had 0 expectations when watching the first 2 seasons. While the 1st was confusing due to the constant time jumps and not knowing any of the characters or places, I reallly liked it. I think for some things like The Witcher it's better not knowing anything and coming in blind to it and just enjoy what someone put together. See how it goes once Henry Cavill leaves, as he was the main reason I wanted to watch it in the first place. But if I can get a good or better yet great Superman II out of it, I'll take him leaving the show.

Yeah, be it on Open Bar or Real BBC, it really feels like he's just half-assing it: Only speaks when spoken to, or when someone brings up a topic he's hyper passionate about. Once very full moon he'll bring up a topic on his own, but that's the exception. Other than that, he either chimes in with the bare minimum contribution, or just stays silent. Seriously, it's especially noticeable on Real BBC, where you'd have long ass stretches of time, and a handful of topics fly by without him giving any meaningful contribution or even speaking a single word. Which would be fine if he was some guest who's not that comfortable being live in front of thousands of people, but he's been a quasi-full-time podcaster for more than 4 years now, and he's supposed to be the co-host on those streams. I don't know how much of a cut he gets from those streams, and I'm sure he's very good friends with Drinker, Gary, Az and Nina, but it really comes across as though he's just managed to snatch a co-host position on some buddies' podcasts so that he could generate income while he does the mundane behind the scenes work related to his own projects (looking through footage, video editing, redrafting ...etc), or plays video games, thinking that it wouldn't be a big deal since he's not on camera.
