I painted the sea for 3 times, with 3 tutorials. The one I painted with yours is the prettiest. I learned a lot. Now, I think it is important not to try a perfect copy, but to follow your intuition, even if you leave a step out or if you took a different colour. Perfect copies don't work. I don't have a painting talent, but I think, it is a relaxing hobby. Thank you for inspiring me.

Loved this!! This was my first time using acrylics, and I love how it turned out! Not perfect lol, but it was fun and it looks like waves! :D I work night shift as a nurse, but I love art and had been trying to find a way to experiment with acrylics and incorporate them into my stress relief/personal care. I can smell the sea! It is so magical as you layer the paint, then the pallet knife really made it look so real. I’m a beginner, if you can call a person who has yet to put brush to canvas, I have tried poring though. I’m very excited to start, thanks for sharing your talents.

Hi everyone! I would recommend changing your brush to a lovely wide, flat, knife edge brush.... once you try it you won't go back. It is so versatile as you can use the widest part to paint fat lines, then turn it to the knife thin edge part to create very thin lines side to side, and then use the corner of each side to paint little spec marks when needed. I hope you don't mind the suggestion!

Katie, really enjoyed your painting class. I have been painting birds, but want to learn seascapes as we now live in Morro Bay, CA.
