In this video, Paula shares a simple recipe for those who, like her, aren’t sure if tofu is for you. The sauce is simple to make, and the tofu absorbs all of the flavors in the sauce. Served with broccolini and shiitake mushrooms, this dish is great for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients:
1 small bunch of broccolini, cut into 3-inch lengths
½ lb. Shiitake mushrooms
9 ounces extra-firm tofu, pressed, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon minced ginger
½ teaspoon garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 ½ tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil, divided
1 tablespoon coconut oil, divided
Sesame seeds for garnish
