Love the cookbook review, I actually have this cookbook and most recipes I’ve tried are really good, banana muffins, scones, seed and nut bark, lasagna are among my favorites so far. Of all the plant based recipe books I have, this is the one with the most recipes I’ve tried and loved.

I’m adding a second, separate comment (hope that’s ok). I’ve been reading a few comments about using language they don’t like. Permit me to offer my opinion: you and your family make me as a viewer feel like I’m sitting and chilling in the kitchen with you. Your videos feel fun, relaxed, and real, and I love them just as they are. If you have to change your natural personalities to please a few, it’s disappointing… none of you should have to be that self conscious. It’s a well established understanding in social media: if you don’t like the content, keep scrolling. I think there are more people who like you just as you are, and I hope you keep letting your family participate without stuffy constraints. Ok, I’ll get back off my soap box now (dragging it away, it’s too heavy for me to carry). ✌️
@pbwithjeremy Жыл бұрын
You can write as many comments as you'd like! Really appreciate that. Normally I'd be inclined to agree, but some of the people said they'd prefer to not have the language so they'd feel better about showing it to their kids or grandkids - which I can understand and get behind. We've had a lot of lovely comments about how our kids have inspired other kids to try more unique foods. That said, I'm never going to censor my kids - but we're more likely to bleep certain words out moving forward. Shouldn''t change the overall vibe of the videos. Glad you're enjoying them so much and we make you feel like you're part of the fam :) Thank you for writing this - it means a lot!
@alexandrawalters8953 Жыл бұрын
@@pbwithjeremy that sounds like a good response - “bleeping” can allow you all to converse as you normally would, and then adapt to making the videos more shareable. I can appreciate your respect for those who are uncomfortable with this type of speech - it’s normal in our household, but I do have a couple of friends with whom I deliberately avoid certain words, out of respect for their feelings. ☮️

I believe all she was whip together fresh lemon juice and icing sugar - as for the amounts it depends on how much you want - I would start with a tbsp of lemon juice and add icing sugar and blend until it's the consistency you want - if it's too thick you can add more lemon juice. We always just go by feel for that sort of thing.

Just a weird question.....what do you use to "grease" your frying pan (like for the pancakes)? From what I've seen you guys seem to be no/low oil so I'm guessing it's not oil. I'd love to know because I am trying the same and stuff like pancakes stick so badly....
@pbwithjeremy Жыл бұрын
Honesty, no matter how many non-stick frying pans we try out the sad reality is that they need a little oil to help them out... we just use as little as possible and consider it a treat.

@@pbwithjeremy Thank you so much for replying. I just discovered your channel and really enjoy the content 😄 It's really nice to find someone else in Canada who is eating this way as a lot of people who have channels about Plant-based eating are in the States and sometimes have access to other ingredients

I am on the “please chew with your mouth closed” crowd’s side. I noticed this the first thing in another video. Manners count, but I don’t mind the “F” word at all.

Just made the pepperkakor cookies and they are delish! I made another batch and experimented taking out most of the spices and swapping cocoa powder and chocolate chips. We’ll see! I too like experimenting in the kitchen! 🤪

I have stated this to the esselstyns as well so i have to state this to you as well.. Why oh why did they have to name it that??? Couldn’t it just be eat like a plant based warrior??? Politics 🙄 this recipe book is for everyone, no need to pander people.😂 Everyone deserves health, great food, and new recipes am i right or am i right? This comeing from a woman so i can say that right😂🤣 Just make cookbooks people everybody loves to eat❤

Yeah - there's no need to bring gender into it. Both those women are of a specific generation, and I'm sure they've been called "warrior women" in their time and continued the branding. Hopefully if they print a new edition of the book at some point they adjust the title. Thanks for your thoughts!

Thanks for the comment. Future videos won’t have bad language. Sorry if you were offended.

@@pbwithjeremy No I wasn't offended.... I know how F words sneak into conversations, and believe me.... they do here at home too. . when I hear the word it echoes in my brain so for some of us it is a distraction... I think it's fantastic that you are including the family in your videos as we are getting a wider range of recipe reviews from kids and adults. Planning to make the chick'n patties soon. Thanks, and really appreciate your videos... and also hope more families like yours will go plant based.

I like that you review cookbooks. But do you really think it’s fair to rate a recipe you haven’t followed perfectly? Just saying 😊
@pbwithjeremy Жыл бұрын
Yes 100% how many times have you used a recipe and not had 100% of the perfect ingredients? Some people live in places where they don’t have everything or can’t get them. I think of a recipe as a blueprint. And I’m always transparent about it. If that bugs you I get it. But I get a lot of comments where people appreciate seeing how to do swaps and whatnot.

If you had read the recipe for the dessert before you started making it, you could have drained the tofu. Dropping the “f bomb” may not be the best for people who don’t want children to hear that. 😍
