Well here I go.....trying to get you to video more of yourself in your cooking episodes. You are so special,so authentic and gracious. I am 67 yrs old..when Covid started I was alone in my house . Never had been on you tube...started searching and found your channel. Let me tell you....I didn't feel alone anymore. You have a ministry..the recipes come second. Your sweet voice and comfortable home ,including the cat...was like an old friend and a good cup of coffee when I let the virus and the crime in my city make me anxious. Think of the critics as criticizing you for being a human. They wouldn't hang around if there wasn't something positive they were getting from your videos.....I just needed to tell you how valuable you are. Sometimes I would watch your soothing videos and not pay attention to your cooking! Watched some so many times I lost count. I call BS. Unless your husband is being studied and tested by the world's top allergen doctors he does not have a severe meat allergy. Even getting AGS from a tick bite is still super rare. Stop using false medical claims to justify being vegan. Just live your life.

I put chopped hard boiled eggs in mine too. With those eggs and bacon for protein in it... it makes a complete meal. I love it with saltine crackers... I even eat it for breakfast if there are leftovers from supper. 😆

My mother used to make a pea salad, served along with cheese chunks, Ritz crackers, olives and maybe a tuna salad for dinner. She called it a cold plate. The pea salad was real simple. Drained green peas, chopped hard boiled egg, green onion, pepper, salt and mayo. She would thin it with a tsp or three of milk. Like many kids, I still yearn for this food after 60 years. Found your channel today looking for Pea Salad which I have not had for a long time. I used real bacon as I had some fried up already and sour cream instead of yoghurt as that is what I had. You mentioned the Ranch packet so I added a bit of already prepared Ranch Dressing. Colby cheese diced. I made a small amount using 10 ounces of peas. That was a mistake because we ate the entire bowl full with lunch. Family oved it!! Thank you for sharing and showing us how to put it together!!

I have always made mine very similar to yours and I love it if I have them I like to add a few hard boiled eggs in there too chopped up. A lady that I used to work with years ago used to put some sliced radishes in hers it made it look really pretty

Oh Sara, prayers coming to Jamie to be as good as new very soon and to you and your entire family to remain peaceful and calm during this stressful time. My grandma, who was from Wyoming, use to make a pea salad with the cubed chesse. Although, those were the only ingredients. I really like your version. I love fresh peas. I love the 'pop' as you chew them. I've made a 7 layer salad using peas. This looks yummy, too. That will be great in this hot weather. 104° at times. Not many people like cooking when it's really hot out.

I made pea salad 30 years, so long ago I wasn't even married and had not met my husband. I was thinking about that salad and and how good it was, but I don't have a recipe and here you are with a recipe. P.S. Years ago I watched your video where you said how you had been so sick and had to learn to walk again. You described how you started cooking again, hanging on to the kitchen furniture for support. I had two back surgeries almost 5 years ago and had to learn to walk again and I remembered your video and got inspiration from you. I told myself if Sara can hang on to the kitchen furniture, so can I. God be blessed, I recovered. I still have a lot of numbness and pain in one leg and my lower back, but I am walking.

I have looked high & low for this pea salad recipe since 1992! My mother made it for Thanksgiving ONE time in 92 & she was going to give me the recipe bcuz I loved it so much. But crazy things happened before the next Thanksgiving (my father & step-father both passed away within 3mo of each other in '93) and well, she forgot how to make it exactly & she lost the recipe to it. Until I just seen this video & Ik that THIS is that recipe! Every recipe that I have found didn't have that Greek yogurt in it or even called for the bacon & cheese so I just thought I'd never find the recipe & had given up looking for it. Now, a few yrs later after I decided I'd never find it, I came across your video. Thank you Jesus! & thank you ma'am for putting this video out here!

This is a wonderful recipe! I might try to make this, but I have 2 very picky men to feed! I prefer the layered pea salad with chopped lettuce, thawed peas, Hellman's Light Real Mayonnaise, 1 lb. crumbled fresh cooked bacon - uncured, grated sharp cheddar, and topped with green onions! It is the bomb! Layer as it is listed starting with lettuce in the bottom first, and so on! I use a 9x13x2 glass or Tupperware with a lid! This is salad in which ingredients are optional and interchangeable! Sometimes I add tomatoes when I dish my serving! My Step-Mom adds green bell pepper (3 bumps on bottom of bell pepper is sweeter and the 4 bumps is best cooked)! Thank You for sharing your pea salad recipe! I really like your dress; I need one of those! So pretty!

I don't have any surviving family so I will sometimes make foods I grew up with as a way of staying connected. I haven't thought of Pea Salad in a very long time, so when I saw this video the memories came flooding back. This reminds me a little bit of Seven Layer Salad, one of my summer favorites. I love pea salad. I know some people are frozen vegetable fans and others are canned vegetable fans - I like both - however, I really prefer canned peas (Del Monte) for this. I have always used mayo alone, can't wait to try adding yogurt. Thanks Sara!

Love pea salad ..I make mine similar. I mix the dressing ingredients together ...I like a little dill and water chestnuts diced fine gives a little crunch. Just a hint of bacon... delicious. I'm curious how you make broccoli salad...it's delicious
