Saturdays are for long slow runs. And today Mother Nature provided a beautiful blue sky and gusty winds. This video felt great on my tight glutes after a week of yard work. Thanks for a great video!

Thanks for another great video, Ash! I ran in a 150 mile relay over the weekend, did a little over 31 miles in a 24 hour period, with over 2000 ft of elevation on both road and trails. It was fun!! 😀 Your videos have been instrumental in recovering this week. Thank you!

Well done on the London marathon mate!! Hope it went well, it looked very busy!! Had a few clients doing it and they said they couldn’t really get into a rhythm but enjoyed the experience. Sorry Karsen I don't like to boast or make people feel like their distances aren't good enough. I know there can be some snobbery around times and distances in the running community. My short runs are usually around 5k. I have run consistently for around 10 years in this period of several times throughout my life that I've ran. I would say consistency and hills have improved my running quite dramatically.

Hey Ash, great Video thank you! Just the sound is terrible, it makes it hard to listen for me and that's such a pitty. Sounds like to much amplification, maybe try to lower it in camera or in the wireless kit. Thanks again for doing these great videos! Daniel

Wow thanks Ash!! I've been bad at commenting the last few weeks but I've been using your videos and massively appreciate them! I just have a question because during the stretches I can get the breathing through the nose right. But when I'm running I've noticed if I focus too much on my breathing (for example, in and out through nose instead of nose in, mouth out, or making the exhale longer than the inhale) I just start to have painful breathing? Almost feel like if I start to push it, I might start hyper ventilating. Are there tips you can give for this? Thanks so much!!

Yes absolutely. Start your run and use your footsteps to set your breathing rhythm. It will take practice but try to figure out what is comfortable I usually do inhale 4 steps then exhale for 4 steps. When it gets challenging up a hill or I increase pace I do 3 steps inhale and 3 steps exhale. Using footsteps is a really good way to set a breathing rhythm. Try to practice that. It will take practice. 👍🏻😊
