The fuses you are using, seem to be 32V mega fuses according to the link... Not an ideal choice for this 16S battery or am I missing something? Nice videos Franky

Hey Bert, good question. I checked many YT clips about fuses. and this model is very accurate. The lynx distributor uses more or less the same fuses. Future will tell but think the solution I used is pretty safe and reliable.

Hi Franky, I was searching for such fuses for my own project & noticed a big price difference between the 32V & 58V rated versions… I ended up with the Victron 58V versions @25€ each… couldn’t find a good alternative on ali unfortunately

You should not be using 32V fuses on a 58V system or it will blow every time due to over voltage.

@@Michael-AUS No. The problem is arcing

that wanptek 60v i have will help a lot/.. i love all other boost ones but they dont have protections and one started shooting capacitors allover the place.. the big voltage power supply will save the day

Kan je niet gewoon een weerstand gebruiken?
@easypowerwall Жыл бұрын
Kan je idd perfect. Maar dan moet je weerstand bevestigen. Heb je die waarde in huis? Weerstand kan je daarna voor niets anders gebruiken. Met weerstand kan je procedure niet handsfree doen.
@LordOneHoop Жыл бұрын
@LordOneHoop Жыл бұрын
@@easypowerwall Ik heb ook weleens een dik werkpotlood gebruikt om de caps te prechargen :) Die zette ik dan tussen de aankomende plus en de plus van de inverter..

How fast they will discharge after recharge?
@easypowerwall6 ай бұрын
These cells/nattery keep their energy, there's no selfdischarge in any way.

Why not just a $2 power resistor, or even a normal pencil sharpened on both ends?
@easypowerwall Жыл бұрын
Hi Sylvan. What you propose will work too, but noticed that many builders are not comfortable with the solutions you propose. This solutions is very simple, safe and cheap. For resistors many don't know which value they have to use. The boostconverter is usefull for other projects, the resistor will collect dust.....

Your solution is OK, but you really should improve it by replacing that mini 10 turn pot with an external 10 turn pot (even a normal pot would work) and knob and put the thing in a box. No fiddling with screw driver holding the pcb. And if you want to go fancy add a volt meter module to the output.

Hi Repairmen. It was the initial plan to replace the pot but if you click on the link of the part you will see that the back of the PCB has a metal cooling plate. Can't remove it properly, if possible I would have changed the pot too. As most of us have to precharge only once, I didn't walked the extra mile to find another solution.
