Pumpkin Squares Cream Cheese : An Easy Fall Dessert Recipe by Heartway Farms

Here's the recipe:
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
I cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground clove
1/2 teaspoon allspice
Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup softened butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
Do not grease the pan! Bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

I can’t wait to give this a try I bought my pie pumpkins from a farm here in TN and going to use your method of instant pot for purée and then freeze for later. Although I have to deal with the 60lbs of apples I got from Amish market first. Exciting stuff! ❤

I used their pumpkin method...so much faster and worked better than the oven baking method...I loved that the entire pumpkin was used

@@pamelaulrich8615 Try dehydrating some of the pumpkin and powder it…good in smoothies, coffee and baked goods…also I add it to frosting since hubby doesn’t care for the tartness of cream cheese when making pumpkin squares. I dehydrate apples also and use the same way…

If you grease the pan on this recipe it introduces too much oil to the cake. It won't stick!

I hope it's okay to leave the butter out and maybe add ghee instead or something because this didn't seem to want to mix and I'll be totally honest with you I don't know if it's because of the type of butter you have or what which could be the case but I honestly don't want butter and sugar mix together on top of a dessert for myself because I wouldn't be able to eat it just for the sheer fact that I have cancer and I can't just eat a lot of things but I'm going to do this recipe without the butter I hope that's okay if you guys have had any problems with that would you please let me know because that's the only stopper for me and if you have tried could you please put it in the notes or something God bless and thank you cuz this is a wonderful recipe and boy does that look good I can't wait to try it and have my kids try it and my mom

Why is there a lit candle? Just wondering if it's an esthetic choice because you obviously have electricity. Basically, what is the point of focusing on a candle. Yum cream cheese…at my local grocery store cream cheese is $3 for 8 oz….and eggs are $4 dozen…..flour is $3 for 4lb bag and sugar $3.50 for 3.5 lb bag….😔
