Yeah man, you're right about adding the shoulder, that makes a sense in the punch. Hello from Russia, Chelyabinsk! Native city of Sergey Kovalev.

@@dungeonboxingclub What's your forecast to the fight?
@dungeonboxingclub5 жыл бұрын
Вадим 67 awesome happy upcoming birthday! I like Kovalev but I believe Canelo has an advantage with how committed he is to hitting the body, if he can break down Kovalev to the body in the early rounds he may have a good chance of getting the KO. However Kovalev is no push over, all it takes is one punch! Looking forward to a great night of boxing.

Good video coach very informative 🥊🥊🥊Also loved the trucking video and the music! One quick question what would you recommend for boxing diet?
@dungeonboxingclub5 жыл бұрын
Alex Hernandez thank you for stopping by! As you can see from my videos, dieting is definitely not my strong point lol. I work with a lot of youth so fortunately their metabolism is good. I do encourage them to stay away from fast food, tortillas, and breads when getting ready for a fight. This is definitely a part of the game that I need to take more seriously.

DSEPSHUN RESKWUN hmm could be many things, make sure you’re warming up properly before throwing any hard shots. Also another thing I teach my guys is as soon as you make contact on the bag with your punch, bring it right back. I’m not a huge fan of the “punch through the bag” concept.

Great tips! Any advice for treating elbow pain I get from throwing my jabs?
@dungeonboxingclub5 жыл бұрын
Hmm maybe taking some time to warm up the arm prior to throwing hard jabs? I have a video here where I share a bag warm up I call “taps”, maybe give that a shot? Also make sure you’re not over extending the arm, I tell my fighters as soon as they make contact to bring the hand back.

Also, what do you advice heavy weight boxers for their conditioning? Basically running vs jump rope. I find running a bit hard on my joints. I weigh around 220 pounds. I mainly use jump rope and kettle bells and some sled work for conditioning.
@dungeonboxingclub5 жыл бұрын
Mukund P have you ever heard of a Tabata workout? We use this a lot at our gym. If you look here on KZbin for Tabata songs, you will find 4 minute songs broken down in 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest. You can use whatever exercises you like but the idea is to push it hard for those 20 seconds. Try the following: Jumping jacks 20 sec High knees 20 sec Pushups 20 sec Squats 20 sec And repeat for the entire song.
