I think the people who played Rage 1 definitely wanted a sequel but we sure weren't expecting it...glad to see they've ramped it up a notch too! It has the potential to become a new big name franchise. It certainly wasn't as hyped as many other titles out there but I think it'll deliver more than most of em! :-)

It's basically shooting and alternate fire of Doom, vehicle play like Mad Max, blow stuff up and cause chaos like Just Cause, humor of Borderlands, objectives and side quests like Far Cry. It's a great game.

Aside from story, this is the best shooter so far this year, period. Ignore those flaws based on open-world standards, Rage does not mean to be a true open-world game, the free roaming and car sections are just in there for a changing of pace.

I've had fun so far (a first hour in) but that thing hit the ground outside in the wasteland and I pick it up I had a huge smile on my face ☺ this is a great fun singleplayer shooter enjoy it👍

Just because a game has a post apocalyptic setting, doesn't mean the game itself can't be full of life. Take Fallout games for example, they're full of dialogue and enjoyable NPCs.

Rage 1 was a better experience for it's time, Rage 2 has the best gameplay but overall has many problems like repetitive missions & barren open world, it could use more shooting and less moving from A to B, Rage 1 also had more diverse weapons and strategy

Great rating. I think if the story was better, and a few moments when you want to fast travel instead of drive, I would have given it a 10, but I loved it so much that I'd definitely give it a 9.5. Having said that, I liked the first "Rage" on Xbox 360 too. The details, the graphics, the music, the enemies, and yes, most of all: THE GAMEPLAY!!! are really satisfying, beautiful, and intense. The speed is amazing, which is probably its greatest strength.

I think that's a fair comment. It's not about making the world more populated, just more interesting. If most of the world isn't worth exploring, then the world should be a lot smaller. Fallout understood this. You can walk for 5 minutes in any direction and bump into something interesting.

Changing the settings made this game much better. On the OneX turn off motion blur and change field of view to 75 and sensitivity as you prefer, but I landed on x-38, y-28 and it feels quick but not jumpy. This made a huge difference.

So basically this game feels badass to play. I just got it today and I can tell you that the gameplay is pure joy. Mad Max x gears of war x borderlands x doom x wolfenstein. Where the story lacks a bit the gameplay makes up for. Crazy fun game. Favorite fps of 2019, exodus pretty close behind.

Nothing like unlocking the perk so you can melee the grenades back. Also if you unlock the perk so you can carry up to 8 grenades it’s all out war. You can throw them all than just watch the destruction lol.

I want the Rage 2 team to do an open world Quake reboot. Medieval setting at the start like Quake 1.. then half way through the story, teleport to a future version of the same world with space marines and lasers like the later Quake games. It frustrates me how awesomely unlikely that is 😤

If you’re on the fence about picking this game up, if you enjoyed the DOOM reboot or the last few Wolfenstein games then you will have a blast with this game. Its basically DOOM but with a different setting, updated graphics and openworld. There’s a lot of content here for a singleplayer FPS..,this is a solid choice to hold you over til doom eternal :)

I can’t quite put my finger on it but there’s something off with the analog controls in this game. It feels like there’s an overly large deadzone on the sticks that turns into a ridiculous acceleration once you pass it. It just feels off and medling with the control settings in the menu doesn’t fix it.

I'm glad that there's a lack of random encounters compared to Far Cry 5. This is how FC5 starts out: >Walking about deciding where to go >A van carrying hostages drives by with the driver shooting at you >You free the hostages and now a fuel truck nearly runs over you >An armed convoy of cultists show up and start attacking you >You fend their attacks off and now a plane is making a strafing run >You avoid the plane and now a turkey mauls you since you ran out of medkits >Your partner revives you and you see cultists escorting hostages >You free them and now another wave of cultists start attacking >You're shot with a tranquilizer bullet and the next campaign mission starts

One thing I don't like about this game is that you can't use weapons enemies drop. You have to find all the weapons in special locations. So unlike Doom, where there's a great progression for the weapons you get. If you're unlucky, you might be stuck with the same weapons for a long time. Or if you're lucky, you might find a lot of weapons and abilities and make a lot of the areas and missions a breeze.

The world just needs SECRET LOCATIONS fairly well hidden(maybe some puzzles?), it would make it seem much more engaging,fun and makes the player WANT to explore beyond the obvious markers.
