You just can't press chargers because of allegations. This isn't China. She provided no proof besides her words. How the hell are you supposed to charge anyone on that? With your logic, I can too make an allegation against you without any proof. This is the problem with the metoo movement, a lot of allegations and many were false. Many went to civil court and not criminal court for a paycheck.

It’s cases like this which greatly contributed to the destructive riots in Washington and Oregon after the murder of George Floyd. I used to live in Seattle, and the cops just do not care about “little things” like death threats or blackmail or domestic violence. They just come to take pictures of crime scenes after the fact, and act as if there was nothing they could have done to prevent it. So, naturally, people in that region of the US are asking why taxpayers should keep paying to fund a police force which consistently fails to protect them.

Well, the dog I can almost understand killing. It is HOW he killed it but not that he killed it, I know farmers who kill their own dogs if they attack any of the animals. I remember hearing about the kids finding the suitcase but never saw anything about how things turned out in the news. Wow! I feel so bad for them! What an awful way to die and for such stupid reasons! Most everyone had troubles affording basic needs when Covid first struck the world! $1,500 a month for one room is exorbitant to begin with, but at that time- it's a disgusting amount to charge someone! Reminds me of the term 'the banality of evil'. Dennis Rader was the friendly, neighbourhood church volunteer to everyone who knew him, until he was revealed to be prolific serial killer BTK. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. At the other end of the spectrum, friend of mine has had this tiny old lady living nearby for years & she quietly goes about her little daily routine, walking her terrier, doing her shopping, etc. He got chatting with her one day & it turns out she'd been a certified badass in the French resistance during WW2, trained in multiple forms of combat & took out a lot of bad guys. Landlording is already a grift, but $1500 a month for a desperate couple during Covid when they can’t work and murdering them over your scam prices shows just how sick and evil this man truly was. This case highlights the importance of basic, affordable housing for all so people don’t need to be at the whims of crazy grifters who see landlord BS as the perfect scheme.

So either you don’t know what the term “Grift” means OR you are straight up TROLLING. How is it a grift to own a piece of property and charging an amount of money to live there? So let me guess, you’re a kid who thinks everything should be “FREE”? You think the government should pay for you to have a place to live? I’m a nearly 40 year old Fully Disabled Combat Veteran who lives on an EXTREMELY FIXED INCOME, I own a house that I pay a mortgage on every month of WELL OVER $1,000/month and my house is fairly small at 1,700 sq ft. I’ve been with my fiancé for over 10 years but we aren’t married yet, so as “single” (by the governments definition) White male with no kids (I have 3 fur babies) I am given 100% of Jack shit from the government in terms of help and that’s fine….it’s NO ONE ELSE’S JOB TO ANYTHING TO ANYONE WHO DIDN’T EARN IT!! I’m genuinely curious why you think being a property OWNER is a “grift”!!

This is sadly the world we live in. People who have weed in their pockets or 'pirate' things can land behind bars for years, but actual monster get let free again and again. We really need to start finding out which judges are responsible for these things and make it known how horrible they are.

I hate to focus on this, but can people stop spreading the lie that basic weed possession gets people years behind bars? It simply doesn't happen. Marijuana possession in the US is a misdemeanor offense at best (many places now just give you a slap on the wrist or give a small fine), meaning at most, you spend up to a year in jail, with good time only 9 months in extreme cases. The only weed cases that end in major, multi-year prison time are federal cases, violent repeat offenders, or involve major traffickers. Someone with a few grams in their pocket isn't doing hard time.

I used to live in a small college town in Upstate NY (~35k people year-round, doubled when students were on campuses). The average 1bd rent was $1900/month, and that was for a crappy place often filled with mice or other pests. All the new housing projects were luxury housing, rents starting over $3k. Landlords were smart; they owned property in a nice, safe city filled with wealthy Ivy League students, many who are international students living here on their wealthy parents dime. Demand for housing is so high that they know anything they charge, someone will pay for it. The city's unofficial slogan was "small town wages, big city prices/traffic." If a decent 1bd apartment opened up there for $1500, it'd be taken in 0.3sec.

Too many families have a “not my problem” attitude when it comes to their loved ones. Its incredibly sad to me that neither one of them had even one family member that cared enough to help them get back on their feet. I wish we knew how those babies were doing… to lose both of their parents when it seems they were all they had. Its tragic 💔 I love how Adrian tells people to look out for each other at the end of all of his video’s. It’s because a lot of these stories wouldn’t have to be told if people did care more before something bad happens.

Not everyone can help their family out, there is other factors to it as well. I’m sure their family didn’t have the room to house that many people as much as the guy did. Some avoid certain family members for a reason, it’s not always up to the family to help if they are also struggling as well especially during the pandemic. In some places you can only have a certain amount of people living in your home and or apartment which aren’t that big these days unless you are putting down a lot of money. The family probably helped when they could and tried their best, obviously the kids had to be somewhere cause it’s not noted that they were staying with the parents.

My family is like that. When I was looking for my first apartment, it was made clear to me that I was on my own. My one brother that's it the area refused to help me move, my parents just expected me to know everything and were indifferent to me, no one would give me advice on how to check out an apartment, I had to make an arrangement with the management company because the job I had at the time had just hired me and my first check was half a check and wasn't enough for rent and food and the other bills, it was a total mess. I eventually got everything under control, but it would have been so much easier if my parents or siblings would have said, "Hey, here's $300 dollars to tide you over, pay it back in a month or two." Now I'm in a better place - married to a wonderful wife, own our own house, both of us make six figures - and my family wonders why I don't contact them much or why we won't let my nearby brother live with us.

I've been living near Seattle since 2014, and in that time there's been a growing mistrust of the police due to how they handle things. It leads to crimes often not being reported, and people trying to handle things themselves. When you combine that with a housing crisis that is causing a huge increase in homelessness, it doesn't surprise me that evil people are out there taking advantage of those circumstances.

@@Duckling08 you do realize that homelessness leads to drug addiction more often than the other way around, right? Also, even drug addicts deserve to be housed. Your type of attitude only adds to the lack of resources that could help people get their lives back.

I live a couple states over from Washington, and rent that's less than $1,000 is basically unheard of. A studio apartment will easily go for $1,500 to $2,000 a month. Don't even get me started on home prices. It's a damn shame these poor people were put into such a dangerous situation. May that awful man rot in hell.

@@melissapeck3089 No... It was a worse death than that :( I'm not gonna go in details though since you skip ahead. Although I never understand how a dog can be killed, yet nobody around bats an eye. The tenants were scared, I guess (at this point I'd be more scared to STAY with this man though), but the neighbours should have heard a dying dog in a backyard, no ? I don't get it.

As a local Resident the lady probably took so long to report what she saw at the Residence because she assumed nothing would be done I work at a Dealership and we're often told to throw away crime scene evidence from our Loaner Vehicles due to Management thinking it'll take too long for the cops to even come out to look at Stolen Mail or Suspicious looking powder; let alone do anything about it.

Those teenagers who found the suitcase near the beach must have felt traumatized when they saw the chopped bodies of the victims, but at the same time, they inadvertently solved a murder case thru the app they used to find coordinates. The landlord deserved that verdict in imprisonment behind bars for life, although he is near his 70's, he already messed up big time for the crimes he commited to the couple. I hope the victims' families will move forward with their lives to keep the memory of their loved ones alive for the children that they left behind. The couple didn't deserve to die that way, I can't imagine the pain their children will feel having lost their parents at the hands of a murderer. RIP to the victims.
