at the end of the day I definitely feel like I am living my best life I know there's a lot of people on here that go on about I'm cheap or I'm a penny pincher I'm this or I'm that..... but let's be honest most of those people are living in their mom's basement.... I honestly found that the two months I lived here were incredible I felt wonderful I got healthy again I completely shut off from the craziness that is Phuket... oh so I got to reset myself because I found that I was running into way too many expats that just completely destroyed my happiness.... Cheers mate 🍺

When I lived in Patong I used to rent a CBR900 and ride up to Ranong for my visa runs. It was a blast. You go to the dock in Ranong and say to anyone "visa run" and they'll get you a boat to a little island in Myanmar with an immi office. Did that about 6 times. Easy peasey and the ride is fantastic.

Listen, I'm sorry if I came off brusque. How about this? Sometime come back to Thai Mueang and let me buy you a night in our local sweet little boutique hotel. I'll take you around town and show you the place. Anything you want to see. The hot springs, the temple on the beach. The Chinese temple. I'll buy you a couple meals. This is no place you could ever stay for more than one night, let alone permanently. But it's a wonderful place for a guy like me. Keep the invitation in your back pocket and come on up when you have a couple of free days. The Vegetarian Festival in October is pretty great, so is the Turtle Festival in March. I'm hoping to be the first farang to ever enter a float in the Turtle Festival Parade. You can march with me.

Hey Steve no worries bro I know how comments can come off,,,,, it's so funny because 90% of the time I do not give the name of the place that I'm staying because I butcher the annunciation horrifically,,,,,,, it comes down to my speech patterns and the inability to roll certain sounds But it is what it is I stayed in Thai Mueang for almost 2 months mate I stayed up I Khao Lak for 1 night while I was there This video was filmed a couple of months ago again I'm sure you'll notice that several parts of this were filmed in a hotel room and other stuff while some stuff is there .... sadly my phone that had my SD card in it with a lot of the footage from up in that area was stolen in Vietnam.... my whole idea about moving up there was I had a friend and she lived there she told me to come up unwind and relax and I didn't spend very much time around anybody I just took some time for myself.... Next time I'm in the area I'll hit you up and take you out for beers and lunch how does that sound????

There is a down side going to the empty beach for the sub to high net worth individual since there is no one to see your high end garments and bling. However for punters who are not going for the Asian city lights, it seems an epic chill zone.

@@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean Yes if subtracting the bling you have classic men’s garments that can with some experimentation give a timeless sense to as an oxymoron flatter mature features rather than do the youth pose as 20 to 40 year olds can do within sub culture genera’s. This is if clothes is required given a deserted beach entails going without as an option, or minimal garments for mitigation of bugs and hot sand on skin if the retired gent/hobo has skin in the game. So for quality of life then minimalism and comfort though for standard of living a wardrobe of high net worth and throw in the Apple Watch every where to go paperless pay even in ripped shorts.

Just returned after an intrepid 2 months in the Kingdom (went nowhere near overpriced Phuket this trip) and I was ready to return Down Under with a week to go. Let’s face it, Thailand is tiring and quite boring after a few weeks and I would rather live on my peaceful, remote property in the Oz mountains and just visit Thailand once a year in winter. Next trip a month will be enough I reckon. The chaos and pollution (rubbish everywhere) of Thailand plus the totally different culture and lack of English (Thai is a very difficult language to learn) just gets old pretty quick, even though I love the place and people. A man needs projects and creative, constructive things to do. Can’t just sit around beaches and bars all day long and just talk to burnt out, boring, alcoholic expats, unless you’re also one of course … 😅
@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean

Thailand my friend is like anything else in life,,,, it is what you make it.... if you want to be a boring alcoholic loser sitting in some bar somewhere you can do that in Thailand you can do it in Australia Canada doesn't f****** matter... Wherever you go There you are..... I keep myself extremely busy doing things exploring going places going on adventures so Thailand to me is paradise. . if you come here and you're a sole purpose is sitting in a bar molesting bar girls then life isn't going to be as much fun.... Thanks for watching and commenting Cheers mate 🍺

23:24 As a restaurant worker in the USA, my restaurant serves soft drinks in refillable 22 ounce glasses. Kind of disgusting how some people can gulp down 40 to 60 ounces of soda before they even get their food!!! In Thailand and much of Europe there is no fountain sodas at restaurants. You basically get a 12 or 16 ounce soda can a glass of ice and refills cost extra.

I am coming to Thailand by the end of this year. Should I book a hotel in Bangkok first or just get a taxi from the airport to downtown Bangkok then walk in to any hotel and ask the front desk for the cost per night? Also, shouldn't I need to buy a new battery charger for my laptop before I can plug it to outlet there? I am bringing my laptop with me.

@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean 10 ай бұрын
Hey mate Personally what I would do is I would book one night on Agoda that way you have a place to go for the first day and night because you're going to be tired when you get there you don't want to be running around trying to find a hotel room or anything like that.. .. see what you like about the location see if you're happy with the hotel and if you are tried to negotiate a better price with them. .. I would definitely pick up a two prong adapter so that you can plug your laptop in most of the newer hotels have the proper plugs but if you're staying in an older one basically a cheaper one most likely you're going to need an adapter. If you need anything while you're in Thailand you can hit me up on Line travelguy1844 Get the Grab app Food Panda and BOLT apps as well

My plan is to travel around Thailand, stay a few weeks in Bangkok, Hua Hin, Jomtien Pattaya etch., then head to Issan before deciding my base. I am thinking about Udon Thani too since the a 3bds ,2ba house near downtown is merely $275/month not that I need it though. I am single but I do not want to live in a 40-story-condo.
