I am crying in my heart over this incident when Vira was murdered. Please note that this is a family's grief, missing a family member. which has been repeated thousands of times in Ukraine. Also think about all the Ukrainian military heroes who sacrificed their lives. And their families who have to bear this grief for the rest of their lives. And what an outstanding job Vira's colleagues did to track down those responsible. I agree. The level of barbarity to which Ruzzia has sunk is just unbelievable. Even during the Soviet times, there were never such nightmares inflicted on neighbouring countries. I first heard of her after seeing her story on Elvira Borts from Mariupol. Such a terrible story told by Elvira but made so compelling through the wonderful journalism of Vira Hyrych. The missile hitting Vira's home raised disturbing scenarios, and according to Elvira, in Mariupol it was a blatant case of targeting civilians. And even though the Russians always 'claim' they were targeting an asset, they usually just hit civilians. And I really do think that it has been a battle plan right from the beginning- a terror campaign to make the Ukrainians lose heart with the war and with their leader. Unfortunately for putin it had the opposite effect. God bless Vira's family. Slava Ukraini !

4:50 - looks like her landlord or landlady was extorting her by charging the heating money, having installed some kind of a timer device that would keep her heating off even if she turned it full on. I used to have the same thing happening to me while renting a room in a community apartment. During Winter, no matter how cold it would get, the heating would only turn on of all the inhabitants would turn it one, and it worked only between approximately 8 pm and 6 am. The main landlord who was using one of the apartment rooms as his work area didn't care if we'd freeze, that AH slept in another apartment.
