It still baffles me that there are still people who don't think a rice cooker is worth the investment, but won't bat an eye when it comes to buying a toaster. A toaster can ONLY be used on slices of bread of a certain size, and can ONLY be used on two of them at a time. You might as well use a pan to toast those two pieces of bread yourself. A rice cooker is way more versatile since it's essentially a cooking pot and is easy to clean once you're done.

Thanks for the incredible valuable information 😄👍 I totally agree 😂

to be honest, a good rice cooker typically cost more than a 2-bread toaster 😂 but what you said is true. Chefslabo-san seems to use an intelligent rice cooker, which saves a lot of time and work, too, but slightly costlier than the most basic rice cooker.

I just made this yesterday in my 5.5 cup Zojirushi rice cooker with Micom Fuzzy Logic. I halved the amount of salmon as it wouldn't fit 660g... I used Thai jasmine rice instead of sushi rice, and I used the Quick Cook function which took 45 mins... but a bit of the rice and diced broccoli stem came out a bit crispy. Overall it was still a decent meal and fed 4 adults. Next time I might try it with the White Rice cooking setting which is 60 mins long. It was my very first attempt making a one pot meal in a rice cooker though, so I think it was a decent result and not at all a flop. Definitely will be making more rice cooker meals in future!

What's the science behind cooling it down for safety? Wouldn't bacteria start to grow by then?
@CHEFSLABO4 ай бұрын
If you finish everything and close the lid while everything was hot, there’ll be steam and water inside of your container. And water grows bacterias and making the food’s shelf life shorter👀 But You can assemble everything (while hot) and chill in a fridge WITHOUT LID. And place a lid once it’s chilled. This way has no problem. Just don’t put them next or under of raw meats or seafoods. But you know what? Usually it’s not a super big deal. Most people have common sense, and have least knowledge about food safety. However depending on the situation or the ingredients, sometimes small things make big troubles.. So I just tried to keep you (and myself) away from troubles😌
@kstash35644 ай бұрын
