Exactly. The Dr. was too valuable of an asset to be left in the New Republic's hands. I am wondering if Gideon escaped and is still working on his cloning project, and this was a vital asset to eliminate.

@@Maxibon2007 Mayfeld wasn't arrested as an imperial though, he and the others were arrested as criminals who participated in a jail break. This is just speculation, but I suspect Imperials who willingly surrender to the New Republic are the ones who get to go through the Amnesty Program and rehabilitation, and as there would be a lot of them, anyone who doesn't show any signs of rebellion would then be shuffled off to where we found Pershing this episode, on a leash but not a tight one. They wouldn't want to waste resources on anyone who doesn't show any issues, which would make it perfect for spies to infiltrate as all they would have to do is keep their head down and hope the bureaucracy doesn't take a closer look.

Jon Favreau's character in the show is Paz Vizsla and yes, he was the voice actor of Pre Vizsla from Clone Wars. So, having Bo there is gonna stir up some animosity for sure between Paz and Bo considering she was one of Pre Vizsla's lieutenants. The fact that she's still hiding about the Mythosaur from everyone means she's definitely gonna try and use that to gain followers from this sect."The songs of eons past foretold of the mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore." was said by the Armorer. The way I see it, it's gonna end up with a mini civil war between Bo and The Armorer. Din is definitely gonna be split in the middle though that civil war could actually help introduce Sabine Wren via Ahsoka. It'd be a perfect segue into the Ahsoka series and introducing the Rebels crew

After one hour of declaring how it's obvious that Din was pulled down, they settled on "if he says he fell, I give up". One minute later, Din says he fell. Kacee gives up. He doesn't. Now, the new line of defense is: "He didn't see the beast, he didn't *feel* the beast pulling him down... so clearly it still pulled him down, but he just doesn't know." The copium, bro. The copium! 🤣 PS: If two things have similar weight and similar terminal falling velocity... the thing that fell *SEVERAL SECONDS LATER* has to do something to accelerate to reach the thing that fell first, otherwise they'll mantain the same distance until they reach the bottom. 😉

But you cannot assume velocity because the shape of objects will determine resistance, therefore changing velocity. And because a body can, and will, contort randomly as it sinks, resistance is variable. So while you are correct, it doesn't apply here.

This felt like we got 2 episodes at once! The half with Dr. Pen Pershing and Elia Kane was VERY intriguing. I actually did believe at the end that Elia had Pen’s back but then she upped the voltage on that mind flayer and then just stared at him with those scary ass eyes. My theory is that she is trying to break Pen’s faith in the New Republic by making it seem like they are torturing him while she takes advantage of his naïveté. Katy O’Brian definitely stole the show this episode, hope she gets more roles out of this. As for Din and Bo, now that Bo is essentially homeless and Din has redeemed himself in the eyes of his sect of Mandalorians I’m very interested in seeing where he goes from here. And Bo has now been “redeemed” since she has also bathed in the living waters (which I’m very curious about those waters because that glow was very alarming) and since she is now back with a new clan what’s her next move?
@mikek9297
@mikek9297 Жыл бұрын
My theory: She still works for Gideon. Or Thrawn. Or what's left of ISB. She's infiltrating the new republic security sevices, building up her credibility and working her way up the ranks by serving up ex-imperials who miss a step, and she's covering Empire's tracks by wiping Pershing's mind clear of all secrets he knows at the same time. That biscuit bite though... that's clear sign she's enjoying it in a twisted way. I swear I heard excited drGorst noises for a split second there.

The place where Pershing gave his speech was the Galactic Opera House. First time it appeared in Episode 3 when Palpatine told Anakin the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. Yes I’ve heard other channels like Star Wars Theory believe that Bo is playing like 4-D chess right now. She hides the Mythosaur from Djin to make up her mind of if she can’t take out Djin to gain the Darksaber then she can just go tame the beast and ultimately win the right to leadership. Also now she’s part of the Watch then if she plays this just right she can gain a large force and the Dark saber and Mythosaur but she’d ultimately lose the kinda personnel family she’s been missing and searching for to fill that in place in her heart and that’s what Grogu and Djin Djarin seemed to have been helping her with!! Making her a better version of herself and a better Mandalorian. It’s hard to tell which way she’s leaning towards I personally would love to see her and Djin become a Mandalorian couple. With Grogu becoming the young Mandalorian Prince!!!

It doesn't really confirm she went back. It is very possible the water she uses pre-dates the purge since it was mentioned that the covert was cloistered away from Mandalor when the purge happened, they probably had all their gear ready by then to be self-sufficient from the rest of Mandalorian society, and after the purge began, they packed up and went underground, conserving everything they had. Just like the Beskar, the waters were probably seen as very valuable since they didn't believe they could get more.

@@happyslapsgiving5421 we saw the liquid being poured at the opening scene of episode 3x1 also give off that glow. Which means the armorer uses samples from living waters when she forges armor, maybe only when she is forging a new helmet. Seems like part of a ritual. But I doubt she has been to Mandalore since the purge. I think she might have stores of it she uses very sparingly.

Curious about Bo-Katan... there was a bit before she had to save Mando last ep where he's speaking the creed while walking into the water where she seemed... interested? Intrigued? Not sure the term, but it felt like she was internally more open to it that what she puts out. So, now, with this other clan, basically being told "you've been baptized and are one of us, what you do now it your choice", would be a push to a different approach/world-view that we've seen from her before.

It's pretty obvious Din will fall much faster than Bo through the water due to mass and the physics of him falling is fairly simple (excuse rough estimates): Pascal is about 1.33x the weight of Sakhoff (162lbs vs 121); Din has maybe 1.25-1.5 x the amount of armor due to design and, plus Din's armor is assumed all pure Beskar, while Bo's is impure Beskar and would weigh about 2x; it's about 3.5 seconds between Din disappearing and when Bo actually hits the water; the gravity on Mandalore is about 1.25 x that of earth (acceleration is 9.807 m/s), but there's also the resistance of water; so from all that you can calculate I'm talking out of my butt.

Clearly implying Thrawn… her mission could of been simply to get the Dr to show her what equipment was needed for his research to continue. And if you listen they say the machine used in low dosage is okay but at max dosage wipes memories. So she was wiping away his memories. So she gets the info needed and wiped his memory to cover their conversations.

I think, but I am not sure that it said it in the episode but i believe it said that the machine could erase memories from people if it was used at a higher level. So, she could be using it to erase is reason for wanting to be apart of the new republic and restore his allegiance to the empire. Also, if it isn't Thrawn or Moff Giden, then if could hypothetically be the introduction to mara jade possibly. if so then it'll probably most definitely be leading into the creation of snoke.

Leading Mandalore is going to be Bo-Katan's redemption. Din and Grogu are loners wondering the galaxy helping people. They're the Galactic A-Team or Knight Rider. 😁

Once Kacee reads the Thrawn books (not sure which trilogy she got or if it was both of them) I think you’ll see Thrawn differently. Having read both trilogies myself, I refuse to believe Thrawn is behind this.

Well It would seem that the New Republic has a dark side already even tho it is new and also the reason why they do not put the doctor in any higher position is because he was Empire and they do not trust him and that woman was an officer within Moff Gideon's faction and I know a double agent when I see one. Also Bo is keeping the Mythosaur sighting a secret in order for her to gain more of a claim to the throne of Mandalor and that just proves that she hasn't given up on it and therefore she is still as untrustworthy as she was in Clone Wars. Also I'm glad that you noticed the Kylo Ren mask being removed. But they have also removed BB-8 and Captain Plasma's visage as well and that is a sign. But Jon F needs to show us if this sign is real or it is just a bait and also the viewing of Mando 3 is not good right now and it is due to the what happened behind the scenes(Gina still being fired for no real reason and removing her character) and of course what happened in TBOBF when Grogu went back to Mando instead of staying with Luke(which was stupid for they were not in real danger and they think that Mando can't do anything with Grogu) and I'm not sorry for saying this but Kylo Ren was a whining pu**y a** b*tch who let his emotions get the better of him every single time and he got his ass whipped not once, but twice by Rey in the first and second film and therefore his villain statues was lowered and wasn't a real threat anymore after that. So getting rid of everything from the ST is the only way to save Star Wars and if they do not then all roads lead towards the ST and if that is true then Star Wars is truly dead.

I think that it was cleaning up loose ends. Pershing knows too much about clones and didn't want new republic getting that tech.

Alot of scheming going on in this episode. I think Bo is playing the long game. The mythosaur would be a much bigger symbol than the darksaber, and now...she has a clan of extremists, and if she can win their trust, that could be very useful to her cause. Pershing needed to be silenced, he knew far too much about what Gideon and his ISB allies were doing. The talk about using multiple donors to clone a superior specimen figured a lot into the Rise of Skywalker novel, so this may be a link to that. The rehabbing of the imperials was interesting. On one hand, they didn't execute these people, but on the other, they are being held in a centralized dwelling, some might call it a slum, and the use of numbers instead names also isolate them further. At the same time, the numbers may be used to hide any crimes these men and women might have committed for the Empire, crimes they were pardoned for. Otherwise, bounty hunters and assassins would likely be targeting them for what they did for the Empire. Sorry for the long post, but a lot of good stuff this episode.

In the books, they are supposed to be using for these shows Thawrn using cloning to make copies of himself in case someone killed him and then a clone with memories he updated too would come alive to cause more trouble. This happens in, iI think the Hand of Thawrn book or series.

Thrawn is coming .. would've been dope to see a tie defender Maybe we will in the future..lol I think it's a good thing she doesn't tell anybody about the creature ,, If you think about it the Empire and Pirates are going to want that creature... for now it's safe if she doesn't open her mouth... I felt like this was an odd episode ,, Half of it felt like Andor .. Obviously my favorite parts Of the episode is the ship battling... But yeah Mando falling in the water was all to get Bo Katan in the water also...lol

Or, (now hear me out,) it's demonstrating that the New Republic isn't quite so different from the Empire. Especially since the so-called; "mind flayer" was something the characters were concerned about the Empire doing, when clearly it's also being used by the New Republic. (I'm just sayin' ) Maybe things ain't so black and white after all, huh? 🤔

Well to be fair it wasn't a problem until she turned the dial up to "brain roast", the New Republic's shortcomings are more to do with ambition, stretching themselves too thin, and arrogance, opposing all things empire even to their own detriment, some medical stuff is just dangerous if misused, did you ever hear about the Therac-25?
