Thanks for sharing such in depth insight into the engineering behind the z06. Allows us viewers to really appreciate the vehicle and the work done by the engineers so much more !!

Such an incredible video that is in its own tier of love letters to an industry, a culture, and to most of all, the people that made it happen. To the engineers, their managers, corporate, and everyone that touched this project; you all deserve the highest praises.

Outstanding video. This is some of the best automotive content I've seen. The Corvette team really knocked it out of the park with this one. With Porsche GT cars getting more difficult to get, I hope Chevy makes as many Z06s as people are willing to buy.

Once again Mark, you and Jack have shown us what great video production is all about. From the first day I found your channel I have watched it get better and better. Now your are producing Documentary masterpieces that only make me yearn for the next one. Why you don't have a million subs is beyond me. Being that I have driven on the Autobahn track makes each review even more real for me. You are one of the few channels that I get really excited about when a new video appears. Keep up the great work and maybe I'll see you at the Autobahn some day.

Thanks for the awesome video and content...love the interviews with the engineers behind this car and all the technical details. yall make mondays more tolerable due to the videos you guys drop, and fridays a great start to the weekend. as for this car, sad that even those of us who could afford the MSRP have no chance of getting one. maybe one day. for now going to enjoy my C7 GS.

When the C8 first launched, all the engineers were excited to share it. Now that the Z06 has launched, you can feel an emotional connection to the project beyond just excitement. This is what they were excited about. We all know there's going to be a ZR1 and a Zora yet coming, but I get the sense that this is the Halo car that received all the passion, the others will simply be a demonstration of capability. They believe they've hit peak ICE, and I believe them. I wish Gordon Murray luck, but when Detroit decides they're going to win at something, there's little Europe can do about it.

The information you have in this video is overwhelming... Huge props to Chevy corporate for making the engineers available, and huge thanks to the engineers for sharing their passion and some stories of the design challenges and how they overcame them. And then, as always, Mark and Jack go over the top and do the best sound recording available in automotive content. This is video and this car are a tribute to car enthusiasm itself. As always, thanks for sharing! And all the rest of you, get on Patreon! These guys don't get paid enough for the services they provides to the community as a whole!

I'm new to this channel but just WOW. i've been sitting here now for hours and even jumped over my breakfast cause i just can't stop watching your content about the Corvette. Never ever have i seen someone go so deep into details about cars and giving so much info you can't find anywhere else at the web. I'm surprised that you dont have 100 times more subscribers. You really dedicate your soul into what you do. Greetings from Sweden.

The passion and sadness you hear from the Corvette team at the end drew tears to my eyes. Not only for their hard work and of course Mark and Jack's hard work on this amazing C8 Z06 documentary, but the realization that we are at the Omega chapter of the internal combustion engine. Of my thirty six years on this planet, since being into cars since I was in kindergarten, never thought I'd see the day. Cheers to all the car memories then, now, and forever.

Well said, but I don't fully agree. I don't see the future of electrification as bleak at all, just different. As a matter of fact, I think in a couple of decades these same engineers will be saying that we're reaching the limit of what humans can control, rather than what (naturally aspirated or otherwise) ICE engine based platforms can handle and still be street friendly. We've already got 4 door sedans with 1000+ horsepower hiding in plane site that aren't on sports car platforms, and there the fastest cars on earth. Consider this, is an NHRA drag race about who can make the most noise? or who can get to the finish line first? Is an endurance race, NASCAR event, or F1 spectacle about the exotic exhaust note? or about who finishes first in a competition? Sure, I've had plenty or ICE cars ranging from 60s muscle to modern muscle, and even Italian motorcycles too, so I get it. However, my daily driver is now an EV, so i've seen the light while having driven every model of Tesla which are warp-drive level technology platforms. People easily overlook that we're at the beginning of a technological journey that will make this Corvette seem like an artifact of the past quicker than ever before. There will be a day, and its quickly approaching, that every performance achievement of this Corvette can be matched with thousands of fewer parts while still providing the driver with a visceral driving experience. When it comes down to it, is it really that romantic to think that the engineers spent thousands of hours on the exhaust system; sure it's an engineering achievement, but it also sounds like something that after about a week I'd be out of my mind dealing with. Personally, I don't think an exhaust note defines the experience of motorsport or performance driving; change is coming and its definitely evolution, even if most people can't think past tomorrow.
