In a sane world, being pro-life would mean being pro-Medicare for All, pro-gender-affirming care, pro-Green New Deal, and pro-gun safety.

I can’t help but wonder what Sean’s stance on slavery would have been if he existed in the early to mid 1800s. Scripture supports slavery in some ways and Abraham owned slaves, Paul told slaves to obey their masters. God never called out slavery or put it into the law of the Ten Commandments. Slavery is Biblical.

Much of the church's teaching on homosexuality is similar to saying to a left-handed person, " it's ok to feel left-handed as long as you don't commit left hand actions". And you wouldn't say to a left-handed person that they are "left hand use attracted". In my experience homosexuality is not a mere attraction; it is a state of being, the way a minority love romantically.

People are changing their views on God's standards because of the culture. 'The fear of man is a snare'. To enter God's kingdom is going to COST all of us, we all need to 'take up our cross'. Holding on to the pleasures and desires of the flesh will ultimately destroy us.

I agree that Sean is an excellent testimony and example of how to engage with the culture around us in a gracious and Christ-like manner. I appreciate his ministry so much.

My approach is one of charity for everybody. My desire is to know and understand JESUS and everyone has to make up their own mind about how to live their life.

To compare incest with lifelong committed homosexual legal marriage is ludicrous. The obvious difference between the two is informed consent.

So how do you conclude the Jesus reached out so much to the marginalized? The Bible cites a few examples out of 3 years. The other 93% of His ministry was spent with His own people. The Jews. Don't you think reading the life of Jesus from the Bible should be done in it's context? His family were Jews, His disciples were Jews, He was raised in a Jewish society. Learned and taught in Jewish synagogues. Had Jewish friends life Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. Just because the Holy Spirit provided a few examples, don't make the mistaken assumption that the majority of His ministry was on the "marginalized." The fact that there is almost no history on Him prior to His ministry proves He was a normal unremarkable Jewish man. Stop feeding the egos of people who need them resized as much if not more than the majority classes.

Listening back to these kinds of conversations 2 years after my deconversion, it strikes me how radicalized and extreme these views are, and how far gone I was myself. This is why it's so important to continue the ideological fight against any religion that aims to drag us back to pre-enlightenment thinking. If any of you experience the house of cards that is apologetics come crumbling down before your eyes as I have, you will feel utterly disgusted at yourself for allowing the writings of an hysterical 1st century doomsday cult to dictate your views on any issue.

"Faithful, monogamous, committed" relationships is the argument given, but the LGBTQ community admits that their relationships are "monogam-ish". and sexual relationships outside their "marriage" are the norm. They enter "marriage" with no expectation of 100% fidelity the way heterosexuals do. (This is based on a number of studies that have been done.)

I am a woman and I met the Lord in 2013 while in a same sex marriage into which we brought two children into the world through artificial insemination. Since salvation I have wrestled with the issue of homosexuality. In my personal case I am now married to a man in the Lord. It is nice that my children now have a male parental figure as this has been a regret of mine that my children do not have a father, and that I actively contributed to that. With that said, I have co parented the two children I share with my ex wife and Jesus has only lead me to compassion for my ex wife who is not a Christian and who identifies as a Lesbian. I do not think that same sex marriage is God's will for our lives, however, I believe that much harm has been done in the name of God's will to the LGBTQ community. In my life I have many gay and lesbian friends and some who attend our church. I have experienced the most homophobia within the western evangelical church and it is so sad. While I personally do not believe that same sex marriage is God's plan I do accept my LGBTQ loved ones where they are in their walk. For instance, shortly after conversion I continued in the area of sexual sin having sex with males outside of marriage. I even brought these men to church with me. I see many "fornicators" at church and they are rarely being called out for this sin. So we are sinners in need of a savior. It is not my position to judge gay and lesbian people. As I think most Christians would have an issue if I were calling out the adulterers, fornicators, and other sexual sins that are present in our world - I think of people who use porn and prostitutes as well. It would be odd if I were to talk about this in conversation randomly. It is within a close relationship where I can encourage and pray with people who are most likely already converted. I have a niece who lives with her partner who is a woman; she is not converted and I pray for her conversion and then pray God speaks to her like he did to me. Although I do not believe this is God's will for her sexuality, I do love and accept my niece and affirm where she is at. I leave this to the Lord to speak to her and pray for her conversion and then God will lead and guide her to His will for her sexuality. I realize that this may make me a lazy Christian who stands by and watches others in their sin and does nothing about it, but many people are sinning all around me and I do not feel it is my place to correct them. That is the work of the Holy Spirit and God. I am to love them, to pray for them, and to show them the love and compassion of Christ Jesus.
