You'll love this chair workout that builds strength, mobility and flexibility all in the comfort of a seated position. This seated workout focuses on our upper body and core. It's the perfect video if you are new to strength training and want to build muscle mass and improve bone density.
You can do all the exercises without weights or you can use water bottles or soup cans for some light resistance. For your reference, I'm using a set of 3 pound 1.36 kg) weights.
Go at your own pace and just follow along.

Lauren, I want to thank you. I'm in m my early 40s but have not been very active. Doing an exercise class or workout video felt like too much, so I never did. Then I stumbled upon your videos and felt that it was a great way to get started into exercising. Honestly, I figured that if was meant for seniors then it was also meant for me based on my activity levels. I have loved the videos! These are great workouts! And they don't intimidate me! I've even been getting my teen daughter to do them because she is also intimidated by exercise videos and classes. Thank you for providing something so wonderful and powerful, to everyone. These are amazing workouts.

This was fantastic! So many new (or new to me) moves!! I know it must be a challenge to find variations for new videos, and I appreciate it. I’m likely stuck doing chair exercises for another year after a foot injury. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me when a new chair video comes out!!

Another great seated workout! I’m so glad I found your channel during the pandemic! I have arthritis from old age (and it’s probably worse from boxing in my 20s and early 30s and ice hockey in my teens, lots of falls). I’ve managed to lose a lot of weight despite having a hip replacement a year and a half ago (and still need a knee replacement in the future, but that can wait). Your videos are fabulous, especially the seated ones. I should be back to the low impact walking ones in 2 weeks. My knee is acting up because it’s raining where I live.

This was just right. Did the knee pain relief. Continued into this seated one. Going to be doing more. The abs and core feel good without any sciatic issues. So many new ones to do now that I found a chair! Thanks 😊 ❤ 💪

Hi Lauren, I discovered your channel today, as I was looking for osteoporosis exercises. I was in a car accident 10 months ago and broke both of my wrists. I LOVE THIS ONE! I was coming up to do your 10 minute arms and the following stretch but got a super fun sometimes challenging total workout! Since i do the arm video regularly, I was able to use my 5 pound weights throughout. THANK YOU!

Thanks for trying it Staci! I would recommend, however, using a lighter weight so you can maintain full range of motion. Maybe use two sets and switch them out based on the exercise.

I’m off-topic for this visit, but I noticed in some of your Barre videos you incorporate ballet movements. Do you have a beginner ballet video explaining all movements? I would love to learn. Thank you.

All barre workouts have roots in ballet, and my style tends to incorporate a lot of it! I don't have a ballet video. I would recommend the channel "lazy dancer tips", she is a professional dancer and teaches technic and terms.

PLEASE NO AUTOMATIC DUBBLING. I love your videos, a lot, I don't speak English well but you are very understandable, the artificial voice is catastrophic, it's a disaster, it's impossible to do a session with that..
