Another great workout from Lauren, mixing stretching with a bit of strengthening, it was the perfect mix and the exact amount of time to do after work or in the evening. The explanations, the moves, the tips, the nice smile, everything is sooo good and motivating. It's big quality work that helps me staying fit instead of lying around in front of the TV. Oh my ! I believe I have finally found the moves I need to get flexible and strong again. at 75 years and a few lower body injuries, I had pretty much stopped most activities. I love that you have quiet music and a quiet voice, I love that you don't' fill the whole time with talk. the side views are very helpful. I look forward to continuing and improving my posture, strength, breathing, balancing and bending. I would love to be strong and aware of the muscle pathways and strength that are required to get me able to stand from a floor position again. I will let you know how its' going ! I want to be able and safe. Thank you so much for not neglecting those of us who are not so young and frisky any more. I appreciate that you are genuinely concerned for your viewers and participants.

Good to know! I'm going to introduce my grandma to yoga and Pilates because she wants to get active again, but can't do anything high impact. Seeing other people around her age and ability levels do these workouts and benefit from them helps me gauge which ones will be good to do with her now and which ones I should save for when she gains some strength and mobility.

I found this video after searching Google for a free yoga chair workout for older people and every single one wanted between 25.00 and 35.00 a month. Some wanted more. So I decided to search KZbin and this was the first one I clicked on. I can’t thank you enough for providing this service free. The workout is easy enough for an older person, but not so easy that I couldn’t feel the burn. You are an amazing person for doing these videos, especially with the way the economy is now. Hello, Lauren. I wanted to share with you how life changing this is. I was working out daily with you, and then I was put on two medications that caused me to gain over 110 pounds. With that and moving across the country I think I just lost hope, so I stopped working out. I am back to exercising, and eating healthy in our new home and off the medications. I just started but I have to tell you I love how this is making me feel. I do the 15 min no excuses work out and this one as well daily. You are so encouraging and I love the modifications so I can still gain benefit and still have something to shoot for. Thank you for the hope you give through these videos.

I have gained so much weight the only thing I can do is walk. So, I was happy to find these chair yoga classes. I am doing them 4x a week and hope to get up to 2x a day, 6x a week. Hoping this propels me to better health and I feel great after each workout! I have been sick for the past three years, in and out of the hospital and physical therapy. My son suggested chair yoga videos for a way to gain my strength back and for the positive effects of yoga on autoimmune disorders. As someone who has had multiple injuries from a dangerous profession, I keep coming back to this particular workout again and again. Do I work up a sweat and get my heart rate elevated? Wonderful workout - Lauren - what exercised do you recommend for a tight hip flexor and hamstring (one side only) ?

Glad you liked it Barbara. I can't remember, can you get on the floor? sitting actually causes our hip flexors to be tight. They are not really stretched in this video. But in my other 30 min yoga we do a warrior pose that is good for hip flexors. If you can get on the floor pigeon pose is great, or I can recommend one of my pilates videos. Let me know.

I started your seniors chair exercises four weeks post major foot surgery in October. I have now worked through as many of your chair sessions that I could find, exercising with you every morning. Have upped my weights to 2kg. In April I will be 82, celebrating life the fitness I have been able to re-build and my pleasure in feeling 'my old fit self' as it were. Thank you Lauren I am week 4 I think and more flexible now I went out on my bike to day and was amazed how stony my leg muscle are getting I have under active thyroid it seems to make the muscle weaker but they are so much stronger I do your dance seated work out as well but I thought I would give you an up date also to say to others it really works .lots of ove from the U.K. ..x

Hi Lauren! I’m so glad I found your workouts. You’re a yoga, Pilates, sit down in a chair, workout in bed before sleep, your low impact aerobics. I love everything. One thing I noticed right away was it was helping me stand up straighter, it is also helping me stand sturdier on my feet not as wobbly. I just noticed today now I’m standing flatter on my feet since I have neuropathy in both feet. I’m so happy and lucky. I was trying to find a yoga/Pilates workout and saw all of yours. Thanks for all the time and effort you are putting into these fabulous workouts.

This was a great workout. I used to be really fit, training 2 hours a day, but I was very ill and stopped. I have never felt more energised since before I had my operation. Thank you very much, I will do this one for another week, then look out for your other ones. THAK YOU!!!

Thank you so much. I love doing the chair yoga. I have a pacemaker since September 6th. I started doing the chair yoga every day since October 1st. I feel stronger, motivated and more flexible. I have a rounded back due to scoliosis. But I am encouraged that I am going to correct my posture. I am alternating your two chair yoga videos. I would love if you would make more available. This is the first time that I have done a seated yoga and stretch session. Lauren is great with explaining the moves and easy to follow. It is great to do as a 62 year old women that needs to stretch after playing a game of pickleball.

I have just recently retired due to needing 2 knee & a R shoulder operation. Along with my 30 min walk with my two dogs I have just started doing chair yoga and Lauren is one of my favourite ones to follow. This workout was particularly good today and just the right time. It's free and something I can keep up with until I reach official retirement age.
