Fun fact! The weight limit on an elevator is often times 4x less than what it really is. This is done because they want to scare people away who have extremely heavy items. An elevator can hold the weight of every human that can fit in it’s entire cubic space and be fine. It has a problem when your carrying in a supermassive tank of water or huge amounts of metal or extremely heavy furniture.
@rasheedbengdon8163 Жыл бұрын
Fun fact the person writing this comment could be a troll pretending the weight is four times as much so that people will overexceed the weight and then crash the elevator
@henwoda Жыл бұрын
@@rasheedbengdon8163 which is why you always need to cross-referemce before taking something as absolute fact. Good call! Though, an elevator that size (and considering the time this was made), the machine drive would still be able to hold all of them safely. The weight limit could range from 2000-4000 lbs if they're using proper counterweights. PikaBlu is technically correct
@Dayvit7811 ай бұрын
@@rasheedbengdon8163 That's my suspicion too, since basically humans are water so it should weigh about the same as an equal volume of water.

Go back downstairs the way I came and it too is locked. Talk about a F'd up hospital that had this type of arrangement. The security camera picked me up and they came to the rescue. LoL.

Hospitals have this on certain floors too. I guess it’s all security. Now I have to take elevators and I dread it each and every time and just like this fellow, if too many come on, I’ll get off and wait for the next car.
