Thank u soooo much for this video I made 4 meals worth of crispy beef for 4 people 🙊 so froze 3 🙊🤣 just have to refry for a few mins and add to stuff as the prep work is hard for me physically to do every time 🙈🤣 but your sauce is super quick and easy so will make it much easier than I've seen elsewhere so thank you! I shall try the crispy beef part next time too! X I looove crispy beef X ❤️

Alex do you need to use topside as hard to get midweek or can another I use a substitute beef 👍

Hi Steve just buy an expensive steak like a sirloin ribeye or maybe fillet..Topside is a cheap piece of meat and is very profitable that's why Chinese use it..It's as tough as old boots and needs to be tenderised.Better using some quality meat if you can afford it and then no need to tenderise. Just made this along with Sweet & Sour Chicken Cantonese style. Sauces were amazing. Beef was great but a little soggy. Any advice Alex?

Your oil has to be incredibly hot..If it's at a lower temperature it will absorb the oil causing it to be soggy..It should only takes about 30 seconds..The other thing Kevin is that takeaways always twice cook the beef..They will make up a big batch and when a costumer orders some they will cook them again just for a few seconds to crisp them up ..Anything that's cooked in a batter is always twice cooked..It's standard in takeaways..Hope that helps a bit Kevin..Just before you serve the dish cook them again for a few seconds and they will be nice and crispy..

I should have explained more in the tutorial sometimes i do but not on this occasion. Video tutorials can be a lengthy process..I try to include as much as i can and hopefully try not miss anything out..I'm confident next time Kevin all will be well..

Once you've marinated the beef for an hour coat the beef in the flour mix per tutorial and then immediately stir fry..If you leave the beef with the coated flour for any length of time it will absorb the flour and you would have to twice coat the beef again..Once coated deep fry straight away..
