Really unique set up - depends on how tall one is to sleep across ways. Using the third row seat is great - it seems you’ve got more space!

Thank you! It works well for a single sleeper (as long as you're not tall). Otherwise, with the seats all folded down and sleeping length-wise works really great! We've recently upgraded to tri-folding mattresses - which makes for a super comfortable rest! Have a wonderful day!

We enjoyed seeing your set up Jody. It's so well thought out and looks comfortable! We watch another channel too where the woman has a minivan and she has it all so well thought out too. Over the years we've had many minivans, (show's our age) the last few with the seats that fold down into the floor. I've thought about Kathy and I sleeping in them but it involved only a couple sleeping bags on an air mattress. We never did but would have been so much less prepared than you!

Love what you’ve done with your space. I need to say after sleeping uncontrollably in ours, so not be embarrassed for the extra padding. Wish I had used more. Always good to have a spare hat. Thank you very much. While this way of adventuring isn’t for everyone, It’s been a really great setup for us and we’ve sure had a lot of fun! I can never have too much padding, unfortunately it’s heavy & bulky and I’m still trying to perfect that issue. I solo infrequently, most of our adventures are experienced together, we prefer it that way. Don’t tell Chris but I think I missed the dog more than him on this trip 😂 Have a fantastic weekend!

I own a 2013 4wd pilot, and I love it. Been wanting to set it up for camping and light overlanding. The only downside is it doesn't have 4 low so it's not really good at offroading in general. I've also had the AT (automatic transmission) temperature light come on a few times when offroad. Otherwise it's a great vehicle! Can get you farther than a typical car. Also, it's technically a crossover not an SUV. Lol.

In this setup, I used a very inexpensive, 12 can cooler with a hard sided insert. The quality isn't great, but it does the job well because of the extra zippered pockets. I have plans for some videos coming soon, that go more in depth about simple ideas for chuck boxes in small spaces which will include the cooler idea and more. I agree, less stuff and less shuffling stuff around is key! I've got lots of ideas, stay tuned! Thanks for watching! 😊
