Sonic X Shadow Generations - All Dr. Eggman cutscenes

Revoiced by Mike Pollock with new dialogue and some new extra animation! :D It was great to get a little bit of new Eggman stuff after all. It was really cool to finally see classic Egg in the scene after the Death Egg Robot.
Mike Pollock did a great job with his performance again. Comparing the old and new, especially the lines that weren't rewritten but still recorded is interesting and fun because you can really hear the evolution and experience in him voicing him over the years and appreciate it all over again!
I'm hoping to make a couple more videos on this game when I'm not as tired so stay tuned! But of course I had to get the Eggman one done ASAP hehe. Hope you enjoy! 💜🥚

@@thesnowmander1168 Yes I am planning on that, hopefully I can! A bit difficult though because his dialogue can be missable. There's a chance I recorded them all but I don't want to upload until I've replayed to be absolutely sure. and even at that it'll be hard to know when to keep revisiting him throughout the game to check. We'll see!

It's funny that Classic Eggman actually kept his promise of forgetting about the plan, which is exactly what causes the circunstances needed for him to repeat the plan again as Modern Eggman.

As someone who has never owned or played the original console version of sonic generations this remastered version of it will be a nice way for me to revist this already old and very nostalgic game until I find the original playstation 3 version of it and then I'll have 3 different distinct versions of the game in my collection by the way my first copy of this game was the 3ds port of it witch I still own and have the case and cartridge for

In the original, the Time Eater’s dark orb obscured Robotnik, I think to allow for mystery of what he was going to look like in this game. But now that we’re accustomed to a modern take on classic Robotnik, they probably didn’t feel the need.

@@14oliverhedgehog74 I know it's the exact same game but with Shadow, re-new cutscenes, and FPS, and obviously Shadow. They could've refused lines or made the Voice actors add more life to it. I can't give my official opinion because I lack to resources to play the game, it just sounds stale and not intriguing.

This Re-Dub Eggman made Me wonder. If Robotnik talking to His Future Self, is there a Video where Original Voice Robotnik talking to His Re-Dubbed Future Self? Eggman: Have You found a Door Yet? Robotnik: You sounded so Different. Eggman: Sega asked Me to Re-Dubbed it for Sonic Generations X Shadow.

3:17 Man, I can't believe I'm forced to admit what Pontaff version is better than Flynn's rewrite. Eggmen reveal wasn't even that unsurprising. It was simply boring because there was no twist in the plot. We just went from Death Egg Robot to Egg Dragoon to Eggman's Time Eater. But because it was boring Sonic fans retroactively remembered that they totally saw that coming and Flynn had Tails act like he expected that as a stand in for those Sonic fans. Not only Classic Eggman reveal loses it's entire oomph! (as little as there was), but this rewrite was born out of pure meta. Also why keep "Dr. Robotnik?" if Classic Tails has already named the Doctor "Eggman" in Egg Dragoon cutscene? To be fair Generations (and Forces and most of Lost World) are probably the most unoffensive Pontaff scripts because they purely translate Japanese script instead of writing them themself, so there is nothing really to improve upon. On the separate note: am I the only who doesn't like Mike Pollock current's voice direction? I'm grateful they toned down Roger's Sonic, but why did they have to tone down Pollock's Eggman as well? Watching Time Eater intro back to back: Eggmen sound so energetic and rhythmic in original, but in remaster they sound bored and monotonous.

In defense of Mike Pollock, he IS getting up there in his age, as he first started voiced Eggman in the English dub of Sonic X, which was back in 2003. He also stated on twitter (at least I THINK he did) that he has to keep some lozenges on hand due to the nature of Eggman's voice. I can accept this toned down version because (if I'm correct) it's closer to his actual voice in real life.

Im glad they kept the original ending, but to be honest, Considering Generations has been Retconned to now take place After Frontiers, im surprised Sage didn't just show up, managing to get both of them out of there. That, or have her be the main villain next game while she researches a way to get Eggman out of White Space.

@@johnnycenate91 It's not supposed to take place after Forces and Frontiers. It's still in the same point timeline wise, it's just that white space has no time. It makes sense to be able to go through time into the future just as much as the past when they're literally traveling through time and space
