Fantastic video plain and simple. All your steps and the way you walkthrough everything is straightforward and fun. Simply outstanding video. _(also, to me OSC is oscillator... So, I don't buy into the clickbait title comment one bit)_ Cheers!

I’m using crave with neutron sometimes but definitely I’m getting another one or two to drive them out of one’s sequencer and other sequencers for mods, it’s so nice sounding synth and that price, that price:D like your videos and in general you seems to have great attitude:DDD keep them coming!;)

About my fifth watch of this vid. I hate that Behri used names like mix cv and cv mix and they're totally different and I just kinda phase out looking at the names of all the jacks on the patch bay. Some neuro deficiency, for sure. But I just hate how the patch bay is laid out, don't have a problem with any other semi-mods or eurorack gear. I will get this damned Crave to work for me. I WILL! And with a little help from Hutch, here. Thanks man!

Are you able to get your LFO tracking perfectly? It sounds like yours gets out of pitch when going up by a 5th or beyond? Mine, unfortunately tracks even worse. Any tips or insight on getting a full octave’s worth of notes in tune using the LFO as an OSC?
@StarskyCarr4 жыл бұрын
Have you tried the CV mixer? KYBD cv out to CVmix 2 in? Cv mix out to LFO in??
@bcroson824 жыл бұрын
Starsky Carr I have KB CV to MIX 2, VC MIX to LFO Rate, and LFO SQ to EXT IN? Just tried that and tracking doesn’t seem to be working much different? Now I can tune with both the LFO and the mix knob, but can’t find a combination of positions that tracks properly. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help/insight!

Just got a Crave yesterday - love it but still have a lot to learn and wish the manual had a better tutorial with a few standard patches and sequences. It's my first synth, so I have a basic question: How are you tuning? Do you have a sound meter off-screen, or are you doing it by ear? If by ear, is this a natural talent or do you just put it in the spot that sounds the least dissonant? If there is technique involved, do you recommended any videos? Also, you mentioned your keybvoard a few times - was the tuning only to synch your keyboard? In other words, if I'm not using a keyboard (just the built-in 13 keys) do I still need to tune? Thanks!
@StarskyCarr4 жыл бұрын
Hi, you only need to tune really if you’re playing with other oscillators/instruments. If I need to put in tune (when jamming I never do) just use a free tuner for your phone. You can also use the tuner in your daw - there’s one under ‘metering’ in Logic, but I assume all will have one somewhere. The phone’s my go to method though. Hope that helps.

@@StarskyCarr Awesome! Thanks! I've been having fun with it and only wish I could've spent more time on it so far. So much to learn. I very much appreciate your videos, they have been (and will be when I get a chance to watch more) a great help. As this is my first synth, I've realized that I need a drum machine to make a complete sound anyone wants to hear. Looking at the RD-6 & RD-8, but was hoping for something semi-modular and haven't found much out there - any thoughts? Sincere thanks for the instruction. Cheers!
@raymondboye59464 жыл бұрын
Too bad that the LFO isn't in tune over an octave. I find this to be disappointing. Grandmother does this really fine. It should be necessary to "fix" this with the VCO mixer (what doesn't work anyway).

I'm trying to run the Crave from an Arturia keystep, but the keystep sequencer always triggers the Crave sequencer! anybody knows how to avoid that?

Hi, I am using a Crave but want a deeper ambient drone sound. Can I connect the crave to a model D ? If yes how would you patch this combo ?
@PiesliceProductions3 жыл бұрын
Yes all patch points follow the eurorack standard and can be connected to other eurorack gear such as model d. Kb cv goes to model d 1v/osc if you use the sequencer. You can send the vcf signal via external audio to model d or use a mixer (audio outputs are too low voltage for external audio without amplification)

Still in doubt wether to buy the Crave or save longer for the Neutron
@SpeccyMan8 ай бұрын
Save even longer and get them both.
@afi60614 жыл бұрын
Hi, I've just found that triggering the Crave using FL Studio can cause a delay in the envelope, making a pluck at the start of a long attack. I've found that this was caused when the midi velocity was over 75% but works fine under that number. Any ideas why? Hope that makes sense? Lol. Thanks.
@StarskyCarr4 жыл бұрын
Check out the accent settings for the CRAVE using synth tool. It can produce different settings above a threshold set in the app.

Click Bait Much? Your title screen says "3 OSC.." Not oscillators. OSC is Open Sound Control, pretty hot buzz word right now, but I guess you knew that.
