GRANT, I wanted to use this opportunity to THANK YOU for sharing your teachings & calling! 🙏 🙏 🙏 Life led me to dissociate from my body, which ushered a lifelong struggle to integrate varied, natural movement into my daily practice, and I simply didn’t have the innate ability to figure out what to do to change this. I’ve now watched a little over a handful of your videos, and it’s been TRANSFORMATIVE! You’ve served as a catalyst for more ideas to incorporate into my own movement practice! 😀👏 In addition to the animal flow movements, I now incorporate them w/ what I’ve dubbed “MOVEMENT MIMING.” It’s essentially like tai chi, but using moves for activities we may do or have come across in our modern lifestyle. I lack spinal engagement in my daily activities, which affects my ability to create more mind-muscle connections (as well as mobility), so I get into the ready stance of a batter in baseball, interlacing my fingers & propping my arms up, as if I’m carrying a bat, then go thru the entire trajectory from wind-up to swinging and follow-through. I’m able to achieve a gentle full-body warmup this way, and what’s amazing is that I feel an ENDORPHIN release! Prior to watching your videos, I never came up w/ anything like this on my own. I call the movement flow described above as “batter up” or “hey batter batter,” and do it on repeat as I advance forward and also switch sides. It’s rare for me to ever engage my glutes, adductors, abductors, and as mentioned above, my spine-and you know how they say that you’re only as healthy as your spine? I’m undoing the effects of fibromyalgia & sciatica, after enduring lifelong narcissistic abuse-so many chronic body issues develop when we’re placed under unrelenting stress, but they can also be reversed, and I’m working towards that outcome. Already in the last month, and in the last couple weeks, I’ve progressed so much! 💕 I don’t wanna hate having a physical body-I want to love and appreciate this temple that works so hard for us, and which can also be a blessing, if we take the actions to heal, nurture, and empower it towards its greatest potential. 💪 🙏 I couldn’t do the step-throughs when I first started watching your vids, but once I added the “batter up” movement miming (I also mimic fencing moves), I gained more muscle where I needed it (hip flexors, glutes, legs), and shortly after waking, I warm up my body w/ the front & side step-throughs-SO many feel-good hormones released in the process! 😊 Anyway, thanks again, Grant, for sharing your knowledge & wisdom, and your beautiful VIBES-I love the fluid, graceful way you move, and the way you articulate each one makes your sequences so easy to follow! I look forward to seeing & feeling how my body shifts and transitions, as I undo the ineffective movement habits & introduce flowy, natural, holistic moves into my daily practice. Oh, I forgot to mention how the “batter up” move also reminds me how to BREATHE, which narcissistic abuse led me to forget how to do. When I wind up to swing, I naturally inhale deeply, then push & exhale to exert imaginary hitting force-it feels really AMAZING to be connected to my body-it doesn’t have to hurt to be one in body, mind & spirit. You’ve been an integral force in helping me to overcome my body dissociation, which has been almost a half-century in the making. 🥰 🙏 “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” 🙏✨💕

Words cannot express how thankful I am for this. I’m a massage therapist and a big part of my work is dealing with energy. I’ve been feeling so stagnant lately and in turn, haven’t been showing up as present in life. But you sir have helped me find new inspiration: revisiting the foundation that is mindfulness. Many thanks and in good health ❤

Great content, but I would recommend upgrading your camera setup to at least 1080p. Yes it increases editing and uploading times, but so will your subscriber count. Keep up the good work!

Hey Grant, why not put this video on the "Recovery Sessions" playlist? I think this is the perfect recovery-from-a-cold-season workout. 🤧
