If your hip flexors in particular your psoas are always tight and causing you hip pain or groin pain, and stretching only provides some temporary relief, then maybe stretching them over and over again is not the solution. You could be dealing with a nerve issue or a strength issue. Find out which and how to treat it today!

Haha, thanks for watching Mihai. I should clarify: stop that stretch if it doesn't work... If it's only giving temporary relief, you're probably just making it worse. If this stretch does help and solves an issue, do the stretch, then once the issue is sorted there is probably no need to continue to stretch it.

Great stuff to know Stephane! I've been doing strengthening exercises for a while, although the right hip is still the weaker. It's better than it was! Awesome information! Thank you!

Thanks for watching Gill! Here's where it gets a little difficult. Nerve irritations can create weaknesses that don't go away. Coz it's a nerve issue... Try to add the nerve glide, see if it facilitates the right hip.

Thanks Stephane. I am going to try the test you showed with knee raises. I do knee raises before run but that is the only stretch I do. I sometimes get soreness in the hip area but it goes away with rest (1 day)

Thanks for watching Richard. It does sound like a bit of hip flexor strength might help (loaded exercises). As a lifter it's easier to create compensations. Hope these help to sort you out!
