Why is the Joker still a problem when Superman can hear his laugh from across the planet, and the flash is fast enough to patrol every square inch of the world in the time it takes a neuron to flash? How is Clark Kent able to find time to be him, when he can hear someone being raped on the other side of the world, and can be there and back before his clothes even fall to the ground? The constant power escalations have left us in a weird point where our heroes can't be humans who strive to do good, because there's so much good to be done at all times that they're capable of that they have to become machines. In this 15 minute break one of several options had to have happened. 1. Nothing bad happened anywhere that there wasn't a super there to handle it. No one even fell off a roof and screamed. Superman being wholesome is best Superman. Because that's how he was raised. The Kents were wholesome Kansas folk, and they raised their son right, to care about people. Supes loving his parents and the love he received from them is what makes him him. Sort of like Batman. Batman was raised by his parents right, loved by them. He saw their love of life, and care for others, as they did what they could for Gotham. But they were taken away from Batman, and it's his love for them and what they believed in that keeps him going. But yeah, wholesome Supes is the standard.

I love the stories like those from Star Wars that just take place on a low level, some crooks doing their thing, maybe at worst they run into a few imperial stormtroopers, no Jedi, no Sith, no exploding celestial bodies or DnD stuff that's basically just a low level party helping out a town that has some goblins in the forest and the big reveal is that it was actually more than 3 goblins.
