if im not mistaken i pretty sure an increase in neck strength and size is correlated with reduced severity of symptoms from blows to the head ( head trauma). this has been researched a lot in relations to sports such as rugby, american football, combat sports. stronger necks = better head stability and less whip lash motion from extrenal forces. in other words having a strong neck may save your life or help to prevent life long debilitating symptoms

This is the best neck exercise I've ever done! It works every part of the neck simultaneously which is not typical of neck exercises and makes training go by incredibly quickly, making it the only neck exercises I actually look forward to doing! It also is the only neck exercise I've tried that actually loosened my tight traps that have plagued me for as long as I can remember. I literally can't ask for a better neck exercise. Thanks Brad and Joey!

That’s exactly why I came back to this video to introduce neck training back into my routine. Most videos are focusing on curling but I find this constant tension with movement just hits all the muscles in a shorter amount of time as long as you get both sides and angles.

1:20 I'm glad Brad said what he said about the neck sizing for the military. I've been built like a kangaroo my whole life, strong, but not aesthetically pleasing. I used to have a big neck for break dancing, but after nine years of neglect it's just not what it used to be. I notice the in the military they go off of neck and waist. So besides periodic fasting, I've started training my neck again. Hoping I can get the numbers in my favor, so again. Thank you, I will continue working hard, and que sera, sera.

Haven’t done this workout (I just use a weight plate over a bench) but I can attest to neck training. Over the course of a few years I’ve added two inches to my neck (of course it started out skinny for my frame). Neck training is amazing - less pain, better posture, better strength, better aesthetics. HOWEVER - start slowly at first. Nobody needs a neck injury.

@hoofyfoots Жыл бұрын
Have you noticed any growth by doing this?
@ParvParashar Жыл бұрын
@@hoofyfoots it has only been a few weeks so it’s hard to see any significant difference. I started directly training my neck only about 4 weeks ago and I’m doing two times per week frequency for the neck muscles and doing this movement once per week. What I’ll say is that I do get a very good neck pump from doing this very quickly and it feels simply amazing. It’s also quite convenient as it takes very less time to do and set up. So, I’m hoping to see significant growth if I continue doing this for more weeks consistently and I’ll make sure to update you if I get the results that I’m looking for. As a suggestion, I’d recommend you to try it and see how it feels for you. If you like it and get a good pump then consider continuing it because I’m certain that it’ll work pretty well for neck growth. You can add weighted neck flexion and extension exercises as well for size and strength by putting weight plates on top of your head (make sure to add some cushioning) or with a neck harness. If you’re very serious about training your neck then you can consider investing in a neck harness or a neck flex or an iron neck (names of the equipments). 👍

If you could set it up at a bench or something yeah. I think I've seen it in some video somewhere but couldn't tell you now. But at 3:40 is about the same effect with the head turns or you could just nod or do both nods and turns for the front of the neck. If you have a door frame pull up bar then you can tie the band to the pull up bar so it can be high and diagonal. Or you can even put both the loops to your feet and do it like that ( like you're hog tying yourself)

@SgtRonniePickerin694 жыл бұрын
Because he is obviously “overweight” for his height due to how jacked he is. The military will take your bmi first and if you are overweight on the bmi scale, they’ll then take your waist and neck measurements. If you have a small neck and a large waist then clearly you’re overweight because of body fat. If it’s the opposite you’re overweight because of muscle mass
