Actually I think the compression is perfect for this style on the kick. I like that thumping feeling with the kick and bass together. Especially live. Fortiori and TesseracT is now stamping a new sound in metal. Lead the way and the masses will follow.

hey Mos, this is just a question/constructive criticism - is it on purpose that the kick is so hard and over compressed? the general sound is awesome and although the heavy compression helps keeping the groove really good, i feel it´s almost too pumping. but the vocalist and new guitar sounds are just so beautiful. can´t wait for this.

I don't think it was intentional. One and Perspective aren't heavily compressed and Acle and Mos have said quite a few times that they're not fans of masses of compression on mixes.
