I had to jump on this video before other ones! My kids and I made Patatas Bravas a couple years back and loved them so much...what an eye opening recipe. Thanks for the reminder. If you think about, it’s just potatoes and sauce, essentially a Spanish version of putting ketchup on fries, and the fact that Patatas Bravas are so good shows how amazing Spanish cuisine is

I never realised patatas bravas do not contain garlic! I always assumed that was part of the sauce. You learn something new every day. They look delicious 😻

In the Eastern part of Spain, Valencia....Barcelona, they do add garlic and aioli, but not in Madrid, Thanks for the comment :) much love

One of my favorite Tapas from Madrid! Was stationed at Torrejon Air base and really enjoyed Spain very much! I do make Patatas Bravas however I have a different way of making the sauce. That being said,.....I will try out your way very soon! Muchas Gracias !

I was in San Sebastian last year.... the food was brilliant - but one item of the Tapas bar that was (sometimes) a treat was Potatas Bravas. Fact is, all are not created equal. This recipe is great but one thing missing is a squirt of garlic aoli. This softens the hot side of things and adds a bit of color. Other than that.... this is as near to my favorite tapas bar in San Sebastian that we ate at (twice!)

Yeah outside of Madrid most all bravas are served with a garlic aioli, this is the way they are served in Madrid :) much love

If you scrub the skins we'll, after peeling them, they can be pan fried til crispy and add ed back or used elsewhere.
